While Berry certainly looks like the Vols' free safety of the future, he has shown he has elite ball skills as well, just like his brother Eric. Tennessee is looking to take advantage of those ball skills and is experimenting with using him as a running back and kick returner this week. He has been a key special teams player for the Vols so far this year and gotten some spot duty at safety.
"Those Berry boys, man," Tennessee linebacker Curt Maggitt said. "They love football. Evan is electric with the ball in his hands. I haven't seen anybody with that kind of speed or shiftiness in a long time."
Berry led Creekside High School to the Georgia AAAA state championship last season as a running back and wildcat quarterback.

Did he play in the UF game?

Only on special teams, I believe he twisted his ankle early in the game.
