Who they got coming back?
Who they losing?
Who is suspended for the first game?
Peake and their starting TE out for that game?
Beasley gona eat mason?
How's their QB?
O-line any good?
Didn't they lose a lot in their secondary?
Who's going to fill in for all if those offensive weapons they lost last year?
Match ups?

Looks like he's only had meaningful snaps in ball state in 2012, SC state and wake in 2013. He is a 5th year senior. So we can't discount that. However it doesn't seem like he has much experience playing a full game against a legit team.

I know that it's a sooooomewhat similar comparison to mason, seeing as their both 5th year seniors going into their first season starting...but you have to instantly think we have the edge at QB simply because it's their guys first significant snaps and it's on the road in the evening. Our secondary should feast.

Didn't lose a lot on D. Front 7 gonna be stout. Secondary is young but 4 and 5 stars (sound familiar)

QB is decent. Has some wheels for a whitey and got some good experience last year due to blowouts

Crawford is the only start that will be missing from the game IIRC

Beasley will try to eat Mason if Theus can't stop him. Guy can get after the QB

Peake and Leggit should be ready come gametime

I know they're counting on Charone Peake to ball out at receiver this year. He's really good when healthy. when healthy being the operative words

I'm sure they have some studs ready to go because they recruit at such a high level, but replacing Watkins, Martavis Bryant, and Boyd is a really tall task...not sure anyone can reproduce that kind of firepower

That sums it up nicely. I don't care who they trot out there, we aren't going to see a big 3 from Clemson this year better than what we saw last year. Not even close.

Returning starters Corey Crawford, a defensive end, and David Beasley, a guard, along with cornerback Garry Peters and tackle Shaq Anthony will miss the August 30 showdown at Georgia due to a team rules violation.

Crawford is the only impact player

Don't forget they lost Rod McDowell either. 1000 yard rusher for them last year.

They still run a hurry up spread which is an equalizer of sorts, to be cliche'.

If watson starts, he is more talented than boyd and tailor made for their system, but will be a true freshman but recently that doesnt seem to make a shite, look at johnny and jameis.

On paper we destroy clemson.

In reality, this one comes down to mistakes, special teams, etc. there will be a turning point in this game. Maybe a blocked punt or a pick 6, something crazy, and it will determine the outcome.

Clemson, on paper, isnt a preseason powerhouse, but they aint exactly Charleston Southern either.

Your bud/miller/coors will get mixed up in the cooler but noone will ever sling out one your yuenglings without asking permission first. Make the right decision. I'm deeprig9.

Good call. He was a very productive back for them. Is Tyshon Dye slated to start for them this year?

Who they got coming back?
Offense returns 4 starters ... 2OG, the Center, and a WR.

Who they losing?
Lost a ton on offense.

Who is suspended for the first game?
David Beasley (OG), Shaq Anthony (RT), Garry Peters (Back up CB) and Corey Crawford (DE). Beasley and Crawford are returning starters.

Peake and their starting TE out for that game?
Haven't heard yet.

Beasley gona eat mason?
Guess we'll have to wait and see.

How's their QB?
Really don't know that much about him, other than he is no Tajh Boyd.

O-line any good?
The middle three should be, as they are the only returning starters, but one of them is suspended ... so the have 2 returning starters on the OL against the Dawgs.

Didn't they lose a lot in their secondary?
2 returning starters ... Jenkins (CB) & Smith (S)

Who's going to fill in for all if those offensive weapons they lost last year?
I can't see how they are going to replace the production of Boyd and Watkins ... expect big drop off in that area. Plus, they are starting a new RB, they have only 2 that got limited playing time last year, so their run game may be a little light.

Match ups?
With out a doubt Vic Beasley and whomever lines up on him.

Beasley is a stud but he's no clowney, and we gameplanned him perfectly last year.

With a healthy gurley, an actual defense and special teams, and the game being at home I really like our chances. Hell the line is -8 I think so apparently the experts do too.

One thing I can add is that I have yet to meet a Clemson fan who thinks they will lose to U G A...
