I've seen this phrase thrown out a lot on this board in regards to Les Miles' 2-Loss national championship team, a team that was stacked to the gills with Saban talent and had a very navigable schedule.

I'm curious as to how many here believe that you could have equaled or bettered Les' 2-Loss season?

What would your record have been?

I could win a Super Bowl with Saban's players.

Wait............no I couldn't. Not even Saban could.

I've only actually met one Mizzou fan, because you lot really aren't SEC. So tell me, are people in Missouri still as pissed off and sore about 2007 as Georgia fans are?

I would be spending way more time working with the cheerleaders than I should, so my team would suck balls. (which is what I would be trying to get the female cheerleaders......) (A&M fans, you can have the male cheerleaders)

Honest. Direct. Prioritized.
Great response.

I agree, quite the feat to lose to both Kentucky and Arkansas during that season.

Houston Nutt could have equaled or bettered Les's 2-loss season.

By the way thank you for choking and letting us slide on in. Just remind me again how many losses did Mizzou have that year?

Undefeated in regulation!

But seriously, it wasn't all Saban's players. We won the SEC title because we had Perrilloux who hated Saban and didn't commit to LSU until Les got the job.

There is a breakdown of how many were Saban's and its not as many as you think. Also, Saban didn't recruit at LSU as well as he has at Bama. Les has recruited just as well and those players in 2007 had been in Les' system for 3 years at that point. Those are Les' players.

Plus, JaMarcus and a few others would have transferred out if Saban stayed.

If you're referring to kU getting a BCS bid over us despite the fact that we beat them, yeah a little.

BTW - we are SEC so DWI

It's true. A lot of players hated Saban when he was here.

Obviously, he's mellowed with age.

Im not sure what my record would be...

...but I do know I would not trot out a freshman kicker to try and kick a game winner from 57 yards. In a rivalry game no less / after we had missed three other kicks.

Yes, because JaMarcus Russell had such a profound impact on the 2007 team.

Also, this is such a pull-it-out-of-your-arse hypothetical. Has Saban ever had a transfer problem because players "hated" him?
