Auburn fans, how much does a loss in the BCSNCG effect how you view 2013 season?

The only possible comparison i have as an LSU fan is 2007, and I don't think a loss in the BCSNCG would have changed how great of a season that was. Destroying a top 10 VaTech team at home, the fake field goal against south Carolina, beating Florida in what's is the best LSU football game ever IMO, losing 2 triple overtime games, beating Alabama late in the fourth quarter with the chad Jones strip, and beating auburn with 1 second left.

Especially coming off the season that you had in 2012, I don't think that a championship really matters. I mean it's great to win it all, but for what? The memories that yall had last year will far surpass anything else a championship could bring.

The 2013 season had so many great memories, even some people don't really talk about like the dramatic win against MSU, that just making the title game after a year like 2012 was amazing.

Doesn't change my view of the season at all. It was a hell of a ride!

There is not a single LSU fan that I know, that when reminiscing on the 2007 season will mention the Ohio state game before auburn and Florida.

They went from 3-9 to SEC champions in year one. It's not like LSU in 07 who had huge expectations going into the season.

2011 gave rise to a bunch of incredible plays and players that I will remember forever, but that games were not memorable at all. And to lose the BCSNCG to a team you already beat, makes the entire season worthless. The same cannot be said for 2007. Not even close to the same scenario.

Most enjoyable season since the Dye Era. What made it so much fun to watch was the offense. Nothing is more boring than watching a good team win with Defense alone. Even in games that could have be losses, they would have been palatable because of the offense.

IMO, it's the only comparable scenario. Of course we can look back on 2007 because we won it all. We could have gotten ko'd by Kentucky 60-0 and I would still watch the game today laughing about the natty we eventually won.

2013 will pave the way for the future of AU football. If you think AU fans think it was a disappointment you're a goddamn idiot. I watched us get raped the final two games of 2012 in ways I'll never forget. We'll get back to the dance and with the way recruiting is going our future is bright.

It didn't change how much I enjoyed the season. It was a fun ride. Sure everyone likes to see their favorite team win each week, but I'm not one that would buy a t-shirt, slap a bumper sticker on the car, and vicariously pound my chest in victory as if I had accomplished something with student athletes winning a BCSNC.

But that's just me.

I am the exact same way. I would much rather have a season like auburn had this last year than Florida state had. Its not like I accomplished anything, and those games were "once in a lifetime" type games.... And you got 2, both at home. Needless to say I am more envious of 2013 auburn fans than any other team in memory

Certainly one of the most enjoyable seasons ever to be an AU fan, no doubt about it.

The enjoyment and excitement of winning those big games is what it is all about.

A win against FSU would have been another to add to the list. It didn't happen, but it didn't change how much fun those wins were last year. And the thing that many of the wins so satisfying was we sucked so bad in 2012 and so many of those games we went into as underdogs.

I wouldn't call the Iron Bowl kick-6 a miracle from God, unless that's what you consider Saban to be. The UGA tip, yes, that was. But the kick-6 was just bad coaching. With that said, it didn't take away from the excitement of the game.

It was the most fun I have ever had watching a season. Do I wish we won the title? Of coarse but I had a blast at the title game and the FSU fans that I was around were cool.
