This is my choice. I don't care if the guy is a prick. He's a winner.
Agreed. Sign him up

No Gruden, at least not Jon Gruden as he signed an extension with ESPN until 2021. Harbaugh will most likely go to Oakland since his wife wants to stay in the bay.

Falcons expected to fire Mike Smith; could be eyeing Broncos' Adam Gase
Now there's a name that'll put butts in the seats....

Among the candidates the Falcons are doing due diligence on includes Denver offensive coordinator Adam Gase and Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, with team president Rich McKay among those working through backchannels gathering information on top candidates. Stanford coach David Shaw could be a consideration as well.
Blank has longed to land a proven winner in the past, but with Bill Cowher and Jon Gruden staying in the broadcast booth, the number of candidates fitting that description are limited, and the Falcons next coach could end up being decidedly younger.

So with this project playoff standings, can Atlanta get out of the wildcard round
1. Seattle
2. Green Bay
6. Detroit @ 3. Dallas
5. Arizona @ 4. Atlanta
I do think we can beat the Cards at home but no way in Hell we get further then the divsional round

Detriot is the #2 seed. We get Arizona as of today, so I think we have a chance. But then we get Seattle is Dallas beats GB. But if GB wins, we get Detriot and that is very winnable as we saw in London

It feels wierd even saying this, but I actually think the Falcons are drastically improved, even with the losses at Green Bay and at home to Pittsburgh.
I feel strongly we would have beaten Pitt had we had Julio. The second half at Green Bay was as impressive of a road half as I have seen in my entire life watching the Falcons.

Had a lot of players go down yesterday. We need a healthy team to have any chance

I'll be as fricked up as Michael Phelps girlfriends pussy by the time the games over, but I like it!

Detroit is the 2 right now, but they play @GB on Sunday and winner gets the division, and that'll most likely be GB. If they lose, they'll fall to 6 because even if Arizona loses too, they beat Detroit earlier this season (and unlike the Big 12, head to head DOES matter in this case). Seattle will beat STL at home, I think GB wins at home, so the final bracket would look like this:
1. Seattle
2. Green Bay
6. Detroit at 3. Dallas
5. Arizona at 4. Atlanta/Carolina
A win over Arizona (and Atlanta would probably be favored in Vegas, given the hammering of the Cardinals earlier this season and their current QB situation) earns Atlanta a trip to either Seattle or Green Bay, where the season would end in embarrassing fashion.
For a deep playoff run to happen, we need to pull for Detroit to win at Green Bay, and then GB would be at Dallas and Detroit would have a bye.
1. Sea
2. Det
6. GB at 3. Dallas
5. Ariz at 4. Atl/Car
In this scenario, we would pull for Green Bay to win at Dallas so they play Seattle in the second round and an Atlanta win would get a much more winnable game in Detroit.
Of course, if Atlanta loses on Sunday, this is a moot point. Carolina has been hot lately and we're due for an Atlanta sports moment.....

Steven Jackson, who suffered a quadriceps injury in last Sunday's 30-14 win over the Saints, is expected to be inactive for Sunday's NFC South showdown against the Carolina Panthers, multiple sources told ESPN.com.
I see this as GOOD news.

Falcons need to win and keep Mike Smith but fire the GM. Smith cost the team two games due to poor clock management but the bigger problems are injuries and bad moves by the GM.

Absolutely.
They need to feed Devonte Freeman this game. He's starting to come on
