Been going this route for practice round tickets for over 20 years.

Gotten them 3 different times, including back to back years in '07 & '08.

It's one reason why I don't play the GA lottery.

I'm not that lucky.

Yes. Two words for you...........Time Machine.

Get in a time machine and go back in time to when the Masters was far less popular....and before Tiger Woods ruined golf by attracting the schlub contingent.......and walk right up to the gate and put your name on a list to get badges every year for the rest of your life until you die.

Safe travels.

Yeah I got nothing for the third year in a row. Some people on the sports board here got them.

Time machine.... well said.

For those in the area the easiest way to put your hands on tickets is to have personal associates or clients that do Masters hospitality. People coming into town dropping that kind of cash (usually expensed) play golf in the afternoon or morning so you can get your hands on theirs when they aren't using them.

Otherwise pony up the $$$ the lottery is just that unfortunately. We last got practice rounds through the lottery 10 years ago.

Got the same two emails. Never have hit the Masters lottery on either regular or practice tickets.

I first got on the list in 1967, my senior year at UGA. I got my first tickets in 1988, after I mentioned to 2 members of Augusta National that I might never get tickets. One said he would see what he could do for me.

PS: The bastards still won't invite me to play the course.

I was lucky. They briefly opened the patron waiting list in 2001 and me and my brother both got on the list. Got notified in 06 that I was randomly picked. Been spending the Masters week in Augusta for 8 years now. It really is just the luck of the draw for those on the patron waiting list. I was lucky and got picked after 5 years and I know that there were people who had been on that list since the 70s and 80s. I never have "good" luck but that was the one exception.

I sometimes wonder if or when they will ever open the list again. If they do, it will only be for a week or less. Maybe even just a day or two.
