Does your boss monitor your facebook/social networking?

Do they?
I browsed some of my underlings' accounts earlier today to make sure they weren't posting anything foolish online. I felt weird doing it. The kids didn't post anything bad but 18-19 year olds are certainly a weird bunch these days. Lots of shitty tattoos and odd clothing choices...

Paps, they probably hide you on posts they don't want you to see.

I monitor my own Facebook, yes.

Well I haven't added them and I don't want them adding me. I don't really care what they post beneath their privacy veil and I honestly don't want to see that stuff. I just wanted to make sure that I couldn't type their names in and see pictures of them snorting coke or something.

Does anyone under 30 have a facesuck account?

Why do you give a frick if they are snorting coke on their own time if it doesn't affect them on your clock?

probably, I don't know. I don't post terrible things on there so i'm not really worried much

No one actually respects privacy. If they had the capacity to see everyone and have them not know they could see it happening, they would.
Save for some rather respectful individuals, such as ourselves.

I have my Facebook set to private but had no problem adding my boss because I don't post a bunch of stupid shite in there.

My boss follows me on Twitter, but no idea if he monitors it. My Fakebook account is pretty boring so he can scope that out all he wants. I put all the good shite on Twitter. He's never said anything about anything I put on Twitter, and I've put some stuff on there he could question.

I'll never understand why anyone, young or old, would put something personal or controversial on social media. The firm rule for communication of any kind is that once it's done it can never be taken back.

I had a talking to by the FBI when I was around 19 years old for some questionable material posted online.
After that day, I just assumed everything was being watched, recorded or logged.

What kind of stuff did you post?
Asking for a friend.
Asking for a friend.

As stupid as this is going to sound: I was posting a story for a novel to my friend. Of course, with any novel that has conflict there's going to arise some pretty questionable literature.
It's really awkward. having to go through your manuscript and try to explain context.
