Gus sacrifices his first born to Cthulu and Auburn wins every other game.

Bert gets too happy and eats himself to death. Arky loses the rest.

Yea, thats probably what would happen.

I think you'd wake up before you could predict the rest of the season

It would give Arky a lot of momentum. AU would recover and still make a run for Atlanta IMO.

If we beat Auburn then we would no longer be flying under the radar. Every team we play would be out for blood.

If we beat Auburn I predict we would finish the season 8-4.

That would be a huge success considering last season

If Auburn loses the game to Arky, the team quits on Gus and they go 2-10

Auburn has another 8-5 letdown after a big 10+ win season the year before.

Honestly, I think it would make Auburn hungrier. Might go undefeated the rest of the way, or at least 10-2. If Arky could build off of that game, they maybe upset Tech in Lubbock and be 4-0 in a showdown against TAMU. Considering TAMU's front 7 will be their weak link early in the year, could have a shootout that goes either way. I still only see em at 5-7 and 6-6 at a best case scenario.

If history is any past indicator, Auburn would be looking at 6-6 or 5-7. Gus teams fall apart after being beaten by Arkansas.

It's feast or famine really, through 5 seasons Gus coached teams that play Arkansas either go .500 the rest of the way after a loss (3 times) or make the national title game after a win (2 times).

This is pretty interesting...

Teams with Gus Malzahn as a coach in seasons in which they face Arkansas:

Those teams are 30-2 prior to playing Arkansas, 2-3 playing Arkansas and 21-10 after playing Arkansas.

After beating Arkansas Gus teams are 11-1.

After losing to Arkansas, Gus teams are 10-9.

Malzahn teams have never lost to another SEC team after beating Arkansas.
