Strange because in WCs past I've always gone for Ghana, but that's not an option in our opener. Really, I want anyone but Spain or Germany to win it all.

Reasons to root for anyone besides the US
1. Our men's team sucks in soccer
2. It's not fun to watch unless you pull for someone
3. We're probably going to be out very early so pick another team

i used to be the same way, but it's actually pretty damn entertaining. Last time around we had the famous head butt from the French guy, who layed out an I-Talian. It was awesome.
