I am sure they were punished accordingly.
The only thing strange was that it was announced.

Yeah, I understand that. I am just surprised that they announced there would be no suspensions. If memory serves, it is usually kept pretty quiet or just dug out by the AJC quacks.

they keep it quiet when they know damn well that guys will be suspended

now we need to relax our drug policy OR give guys a 48 hour notice so they can drink 15 gallons of water beforehand...

This is the type of discipline that should be handed out for all minor issues including first time offenses. Work their a$$e$ off. Make them pay in a way that does not hurt the team further but helps the team. They get their punishment and we get a more fit player morally, mentally and physically.

JHC was the third leading tackler on our team.

With the way our defense was last year I just don't think they will be missed. I think someone will step up their game and they will be coached much better.

Also it can't hurt that we have a coach that simplifies the scheme for these youngsters coming in. Seems simple to me when your more confident about what your job is you react faster and put your talents to good use.

Besides that and correct me if I'm wrong but if our front seven is putting more pressure (due to experience and all the talent we'll have up there) on the QB and forcing them into making mistakes that could be just what we need to offset some of the deficiencies in the secondary. It sure worked out that way when Jarvis TMFM Jones was playing.

Oh I won't miss either of them. I was just saying that JHC did contribute.

All that contribution was negated when he caused the ball to fly into that Auburn players hands when we had the game won.

You know what thought immediately flew through my head when that happened? He was looking for self glorification. It was clearly in the hands of Matthews so all he had to do was block but he had to put his hands in there and cause the ball to go to R. Luis.
