Without reading I'm going to ahead and say we benefit from only have 2 D1 programs in the state compared to most of those teams having a few smaller, not very good programs.

For example. SC and Clemson have been top 10 programs for the past 3 years. AU and 'Bama are great, but probably drug down by the likes of Troy and UAB. (if that's the criteria)

#1 is not even debatable. A team from Alabama has won 4 of the last 5 national titles and played in the last 5 national title games in a row. The State of Alabama is either at or nearing the dominance of the State of Florida in the 90's.
