Wait, so South Carolina and Clemson are somehow a superior #1/#2 punch than Alabama and Auburn???

Alabama alone would bring more to the table than South Carolina and Clemson combined.

Auburn is better than each one of those individually as well.

What sort of crackhead metrics are they using?

Georgia/Georgia Tech are pretty comparable if not superior to South Carolina/Clemson IMO.

If they're including the scrub schools into their calculations then it's remarkably stupid.

Then again it's Bleacher Report.

Georgia Tech though in recent years has been a pile of steaming shite. I guess that effects the rankings. That and UGA shitting the bed for an entire season last year.

I refuse to click the link and give them more exposure, but what in the HELL is their justification for this?

Auburn/bama >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> clemson/sc. And it isn't even remotely, in any way, close.

But Tech does have some history which USCe does not. So yes historicaly the UGA/GT combo is better. But thanks to Tech being absolute shite since the '90s the combo has lost some luster.

You guys do know there are more D1 schools in your state than just UA and AU, right?

So score it like a track meet. Ever been to one of those? 1. Alabama. 2. Alabama. 3. South Carolina. 4. South Carolina 5. Alabama. 6. Alabama. 7. Alabama.

Where the hell are the rest of South Carolina's entries?

The fact that none of the other small schools in the state of South Carolina choose to play with the big boys doesn't penalize Alabama. South Alabama's successful entry to the FBS is a slap in the face to South Carolina. The Jags didn't play football at any level until 2009. In 2013, their second full season in the Sun Belt, thy finished tied for 3rd, only one game behind the conference champions. Troy also has had a very good program over the years. You don't penalize the top four runners on the team (UA, AU, TU, USA) because the slow fat kid (UAB) wants to run too.
