Couldve been worse I guess, but sure as shite could a been better too. Dislocated shoulder was the worst of it. But some crucial frickin rash on legs, back, hip, and palms is no friggin joke either

Was doing almost 60 when I had to lock brakes down when some dickbag looked like he was gonna run a light

Probably done with bikes after I get mine rehabbed and sold. I've had about all the rock star lifestyle a dude could have running a bike all up and down the beach. I've got a one ambulance ride policy with activities that don't pay good money. And my bikes never made me a dime so..

Glad to hear you're giving up the bikes, they're just too risky IMO. Guess I'm sort of a puss on that, but all my friends that ride have a story like what you just told.

Hope you get well soon, man!

My parents might well have saved my life by not allowing me to get a motorcycle when I was 16. Sounds like you are taking it as sign; you should. You came out alive this time. Next time you might not be so lucky. Take care. Here's hoping for your speedy recovery.

Damn son, glad you're alive and not too seriously hurt.

I got in a wreck on my bike about 13 years ago about 3 weeks after my first child was born and my wife made me quit riding as well. It sucked bad. I went through horrible emotional withdrawals, seriously. But eventually got over it. I still miss riding, but there's just too many idiots on the roads these days. It's just not worth it when you got other priorities.

Hope you get well soon.

That hurts for me to look at it. That would be plenty to scare me off a bike.

Been there bro and know it sucks. They say there are those who have wrecked, and then there are those who are going to. Many up and coming riders never consider the fact that you can't control another motorists actions.

My dad's rule on bikes, no matter the season:

Boots
Jeans
MC/Leather Vest.

Flip flops are for scooters.
