I don't get why they haven't, is it supposed to be a status deal or something?

LSU has played a Thursday night game.

We've played them before. I think the last one was against Southern Miss at Legion Field, but that was l2 or 13 years ago

It was 2001 and was rescheduled from 9/15

Correction, Alabama played one three years ago against Ga State because we needed extra prep days for Auburn.

They played one back in the 90's. I think it was Vanderbilt, or maybe it was Southern Miss.

No clue.
But I really enjoy the occasional Thursday night game.

They would have to play South Carolina to be on Thursday night.

Thursday night games are for teams that cant get a prime time game. I think the only reason LSU was on one because it was at Starkville.

I'm sure they will if the SEC schedules it. But it will likely be a road game. Just like it was for LSU at Mississippi State.

Southern Miss used to give Bama trouble. No longer scheduled.

Because they don't need to.

They have played 2 in the past 15 years, though one was due to the original game being postponed due to 9/11. Georgia State a few years ago, adn Southern Miss in 2001 in a downpour.
