I saw where he sustained a knee injury, and there's talk of it being a torn ACL...which could potentially put him out a good majority of the 2014 season. When is the MRI scheduled? Hopefully, it won't be an ACL injury, and it is something a lot more minor so he will be 100% for the season opener. Nick Saban had said he was the best cornerback on roster.

If it is serious, what can we expect from Alabama's secondary? I also saw where Tony Brown had another shoulder injury, and I would guess he probably just aggravated the same injury he had during the Under Armour All-American Game. I guess we could expect Cyrus Jones to see a lot of time. What about Jonathan Cook? I really wanted Auburn to offer him out of high-school.

Non-contact knee injury usually isn't good.

Yea, it's weird how the non-contact injuries are typically worse in the knee's case.

Freak injury type deal.

Out for the season. Now LSU may stand a chance at keeping it close for three quarters....

Hope the kid is fine and it's just a scare or sprain...

Yikes. Saw that firsthand with Justin Hunter at the Swamp a few years ago (total freak injury) and this past season saw what seemed like half of UGA's football team go down with non-contact knee injuries against UT.

Apparently injured it while trying to defend a pass caught by Cam Sims.

Sunday

Another year of pain for Bama fans? Seriously though it will probably be Sylve and Cyrus Jones ( ) Brown and Hump will have the chance to make their case, and don't count out Anthony Averett (though I've heard nothing about him in practice)

Injured it during track practice. Think I read somewhere that he tripped over a hurdle. Not sure if that is accurate.

What about Jonathan Cook?

He is in the rotation for safety where our depth is even more abysmal than at corner.

Damn, terrible... I expect him to be back sometime late in the season, though.

Hate it for him...He was Alabama's best corner back...or at least thats what Saban thought

"Eddie was having a great spring and [was] probably our best corner, most consistent," Saban said.

Nah, redshirt unless the secondary has totally shite the bed and we have no one else to turn to. In that case he should still sit because it's probably a lost cause at that point.

I'd look for Maurice Smith to challenge for a starting job.
