Redshirt would probably be smart. At least it happened now where he will be fully healthy for next season, if he does indeed redshirt.

I'd look for Maurice Smith to challenge for a starting job

I hope he is ready or I hope Marlon figures out a way to not get beat by big receivers in bump and run. Otherwise we are stuck with Cyrus "The Burn Notice" Jones.

Eddie Jackson has torn his ACL.

Dammit. I was expecting him to have a good year.

Don't forget about Hootie Jones. I hear that he's doing really well.

We are likely going to be in some trouble this year. Hopefully we can find some serviceable people to fill out the defensive backfield.

Depending on how the DL shapes out, I am not sure if I see us being able to cover for out DB play this year with the pass rush as much as I would like.

We are going to need our offensive line to step up and have the ability to grind out some long running drives to give our defense the time to adjust and settle in after they give up the big plays/long drives.

All that is being reported is torn ligament. If he is expected to make a full recovery by fall then I doubt it's an ACL injury.

Do we know if it is a complete or partial?

Great news if he can return in time for the season.

All that was released to the press is "ligament damage". There is no way that Eddie would be ready by fall with a torn ACL (unless he's AD). Cornwell tore his ACL and six months later he's still wearing a brace.

There's a ton of talent back there, and Brown and Humphrey's speed gives us a dimension that we really haven't had before. One thing's for sure...Kirby's gonna earn his $$$ this year.

Yea, that's why I asked if it was complete or partial, too bad we don't know what ligament it was... Josh Holsey is still recovering from ACL reconstruction and that happened halfway through last season for Auburn.
