THE FLATS - Georgia Tech sophomores Dennis Andrews and Anthony Autry have been suspended for the first two football games of the 2014 season for violating the Athletic Association's student-athlete conduct policy.

Andrews, a running back from Tallahassee (Fla.) native, played in all 13 games last season as a redshirt freshman. He rushed 12 times for 140 yards (11.7 yards per attempt) and caught one pass for 37 yards.

Autry, a wide receiver from Norcross (Ga.), played as a true freshman in 2012 before sitting out last season to recover from a knee injury...(had no catches so he prolly tied for 3rd in receptions)

Georgia Tech's first two games of the 2014 season come at home versus Wofford (Aug. 30) and at Tulane (Sept. 6).

Fun fact: Since the night we neutered Paul Johnson (Clean Old Fashioned Hate 2009) Georgia Tech is 22-27 when you eliminate their wins vs. non-BCS conference teams. Winning 44.8% of games isn't the worst by any stretch.

They will likely continue that rate this year and make a bowl. Quite easy to do when your non-conference includes Wofford, Tulane and Georgia Southern. They will win those 3, go 4-4 in the ACC, get prison raped by UGA, then lose a bowl. Rinse, wash, repeat. Bank it.

I'm a realist. I don't see us winning the SEC and I do see Tech making a bowl. I'd prefer both of those being reversed.

Tech will go 7-5 thanks to an extremely weak schedule then lose a bowl. Where do you see me going wrong there?

I can tell you are not a dumbass.. as far as Tech 7-5, factors to include are..GT's o-line now averages 300lbs & Justin Thomas & Travis Custis are prolly the next Pat White/Steve Slaton combo...

But out of respect for your common sense I will concede 7-5

It's going to be funny when Georgia Southern neuters tech and shows the world that they are third - at best - in the state.

Who cares how big your oline is when they take themselves out of the play with their cut blocking?

I'll take "What are three QBs better than anything on GT's roster?" for $500, Alex.
