I'm sitting in my garage drinking a few and watching storm clouds bubble up to the west.

Storm blew through Conway earlier that made the lights go out and flicker for a little while. First time that's happened in at least a year. Usually good about keeping power here.

Also heard it's supposed to get bad tonight

I see a little cell back east over Goshen with a nice southern inflow.

I'm out on my deck with my Ipad watching the lightning, drinking a Coors light, and watching the movie Twister ...

Luckily we're getting some rain Fayetteville right now, that should lower some of the instability.

I've never seen a metro be as pussyfoot about weather than LR is.

And let's be honest LRSD is canceling today's games because they can't afford the electricity for the lights or the gas for the buses.

They have a new, first time superintendent. He probably has aspirations of moving on as quickly as possible and doesn't want to take any chances with student's safety. Most of the games/meets would probably rain out before they could get them in anyway.

The threat this week seems to have been blown way out of proportion. On Sunday they were predicting severe storms on Tuesday and Wednesday, that didn't happen so they pushed it back to Thursday. Today Dan Skoff said there was a major threat for severe weather and tornadoes between 4 and 8 pm, now they are predicting rain and, wait for it.....light rain.

I realize predicting the weather is hard, but I hate how they sensationalize it and put people on edge for a whole week. I've been worried about a tornado since Sunday and nothing has happened.

I don't think I'm jinxing it either, the only thing on the radar is a little strip of storms in NE Oklahoma right now.

Nasty wall cloud coming into Fville. No rotation or southern inflow though.
