On how good they were while at Florida. Not their potential or based on future professional play.....

Jason Williams
Teddy Dupay
Orien Green
Brett Nelson
Anthony Roberson
Taurean Green
Nick Calathes
Jai Lucas
Erving Walker
Scottie Wilbekin

Reason for making this thread is because I'm curious how other Gator fans rank Scottie against previous Gator PGs.

Try not to factor in his career stats & longevity.....

Feel free to add other PGs I missed, or even good PGs before Billy came to town

Not gonna rank them all, but if Calathes stayed at UF, he would've been the best PG out of them all IMO.

I think Calathes is easily the overall most talented of all the PGs, but he didn't have the killer instinct, leadership, or toughness that you need in order to win a championship.

Green was probably the best overall floor general that UF has had. He could shoot the three, and his passing was excellent, and he ran the fast break perfectly. But he lacked ideal size and was sometimes unable to create his own shot and was vulnerable on defense against bigger guards.

Wilbekin is probably the best defender of the bunch by a lot, and easily the toughest. He is also the player that developed the most from his 1st season to his final season. He is a good three point shooter and he can create his own shot now off the dribble. However, he is a liability in the fast break. He doesn't always make the best decisions when moving at full speed when it comes to involving his teammates.

So depending on what criteria you use to make the judgement, I think you can get a lot of different lists.

But based on all around ability and success including intangibles:

1. Scottie
2. Dupay
3. Green
4. Calathes

Walker was pretty sick and surprisingly under appreciated by fans.

If we're not considering future professional play, I'm not even going to bother ranking Williams.

1) Scottie
2) Taurean
3) Nelson
4) Calathes
5) Dupay
6) J-Ham
7) Roberson
8) Erv
9) that other Green

We've had a ton of damn good college point guards under Donovan.

10) Lucas
