After seeing Jameis Winston described in this manner, it feels like it's getting to be overkill at this point that every player that ends up being the best in a particular year is described as "once in a generation".

In your opinion, which of these (who were at some point deemed by the talking heads to be "once in a generation talent") really is?

Tebow
Cam
Manziel
Winston

Has to be Cam Newton. He took a shitjob cupcake and turned them into an SEC superpower. And their head coach was a dumbass on top of all that.

That's his point.

I'd say Cam.

At the college level, I'd say Cam possesses the best skillset of them all.

But Tebow's intangibles are off the charts. His leadership and ability to will a team are as good as any I've seen.

At the college level.

None of the above. Peyton Manning or Tom Brady are once in a generation type QBs. The closest thing to a Peyton or Brady type talent of those you listed above is Manziel.

Again, none of the above are once in a generation type players. However, if I had to pick one, it would be Manziel.

Herchel Walker was....

I also vote Dmac, the pounding the guy took was unbelievable, yet he was very successful

Johnny Football.. Perhaps,

Cam Newton was just a freak period... Hate it, but he was!

Manziel since his coach held him back from the championships.

tebow is not a olt athlete/qb ... not even close, imo ... great football player, but not olt ...

big, athletic qbs aren't all that uncommon ... vince young came along before cam and winston ...

manzeil might be olt simply because of his quickness and ability to athletically improvise any play ...
