Love Verne calling basketball but he is terrible at football.
Gary needs to die slowly of a flesh eating bacteria that starts with his voice box. He will do anything to prove himself right. If it looks like he was wrong about something, he will scour footage for 3 quarters and just before the game is over he will give you definitive proof that whatever he said in the first 3 minutes of the game was absolutely true, even if it has absolutely no bearing on the outcome of the game whatsoever. I sit there and listen to him talk and all I can do is roll my eyes.

I like both of them.
ETA: Love how Uncle Verne always jacks names up, Orlando McCain and Clinton Ha-Ha Dix are just two that come to mind. Reminds me of my dad.

I love them both. As for Verne making mistakes, who cares it's funny. he doesn't have to be accurate 100% of the time for you anal people.

Yeah I also think Gary likes to prove himself right. I think he knows what he's talking about, but he could present it better. Verne's WOAHs, WOWs, and OH MYs annoy me.

I think Danielson, though sometimes annoying, is the best color guy in college football. He had a rough first year on CBS, but since he got adjusted to the job and learned all the teams and players, he's taken off. Really, no one else, except maybe Blackledge, brings the depth of knowledge and insight about the game like Danielson.
Lundquist... Look, I'm sure he's nice and I hate to berate old people, but it's time for him to move along to other pursuits. I don't think he tries to be bad, it's just that the game moves faster than his 75 yo mind can keep up with.
However, Verne is preferable to Tim Brando, who I like as an anchor guy (even though he's an LSU homer and world-class a-hole), but would be on par with Craig Bolerjack as the primary announcer.
So, be careful what you wish for...

If there were 2 Verne it'd be terrible. Danielson is usually spot on and he corrects Verne sometimes. I think they're a good combo. 2 know-it-all Danielson would be annoying too.

Couldnt stand Vern during the Tebow years. The dickriding was almost unbearable.
But nowadays, it just doesnt seem right if Im watching an SEC game and they're not calling it. Imo, they did an awesome job during the UGA/LSU game. It was like listening to two kids enjoying one hell of a game.
