Is it just sensationalism or actual news?

I didn't really have a problem with that story. It's true that the NCAA doesn't seem as eager to investigate these type of infractions as it did a couple years ago which is fortuitous for us.

Yet, this could be the watershed moment when the NCAA just stops even pretending to try. It could be the case where the NCAA just throws up its hands and admits it no longer had the resources or the resolve to enforce some of the rules it once considered sacred.

In light of the LSU apartment situation this is just a gigantic circlejerk on the "state of collegiate athletics."

Until I find more information I can only conclude that UA had a rogue employee; and that there was no conspiracy on behalf of UA to violate rules.

TIFWIW.

Oh, and from the LSU Case mentioned above, LSU fans salivating on the rants are just hypocrites.

Updated with usa today version.

They were paying Akeem hicks apartment rent. The coach was fired he was released from his loi and he never played a game at LSU. He now plays for the saints

just thinking out loud.... I wonder if during UA's investigation of fluker they found out that the Asst S&C coach is/was the problem?
Again, just thinking out loud.

They weren't paying for anything, as I recall. They set him up to sleep on someone else's couch or spare bedroom for a few days until the dorms were available to move in.

The coach arranged for him to stay rent free in the vacant apartment of a former player then provided false info to their compliance department to cover it up.
