The general consensus is that half the fans were friendly and the other half were jackasses. Everyone said it was a great smaller college town though.

People in Alabama refer to it as "Fayettenam."

I wasn't up for this game, but I used to live in Conway and Morrilton (3 years total). I have been up there several times and enjoyed it. I really like the North Central/North West part of the state.

The rest of the state is a giant shithole.

I think every state has that region.

This is true, and I can say that because I grew up in the cotton fields of the Arkansas Delta near Memphis.

North central (Heber Springs area) and Northwest Arkansas are beautiful and mountainous, while a great deal of the rest of the state is anything but.

You figured it out Onyx. Lived all over, japan, Middle East, San Diego and Dallas. College through masters in Fayetteville. Live north central arkansas, tending west (above Russellville). Best part of state. However, parts of the river valley, west central are good too.

Texas certainly does. West Texas sucks arse. Nothing but dirt, scrub brush and Walmart sacks.

Met some awesome Arkansas people. I left my work cell phone at the tailgate next to some Arkansas people my dad and I talked to for a while. They picked it up and waiting for me to call. I did, they answered it, met me in the stands before the game, and gave it back. All in all I had a great time and met some great people. I never once encountered a jackass, but I'm of the opinion that if you go looking for trouble then you'll find it whereas if you are friendly at first then you won't have issues. My dad and I spoke with all sorts of people ranging from the students who were first in line to get student tickets, some female engineers on campus who were sitting in the open, some older Alumni, and so on. Everyone was very welcoming.

The stadium is gorgeous and the atmosphere was great. Town was cool as well.

I would definitely come back again.

WonderWartHawg approves this message.
Would argue a little about the ratio though.

We had a great time. The big difference we saw was last year at the road games everyone was tapping us on the back like little kids saying welcome to the SEC and giggling. Now that we are winning in the SEC the welcomes were a little more reserved.

Almost everywhere we went the employees commented they had never seen a fan base travel like this. One shop owner was simply amazed and wondered how we got so many tickets. The manager at Hugo's said they were not prepared for the huge crowds. A cop told me it looked like 60/40 Razarback fans at the stadium. I would say 75/25.
