Texas certainly does. West Texas sucks arse. Nothing but dirt, scrub brush and Walmart sacks.

Isn't Big Bend National Park in West Texas?

I had a great time. That was my second trip to fayetteville (first for a game) and I really like the area and the town. My youngest sister is a senior there and she took us to grubs before/after the game, and common grounds this morning (those sausage rolls were awesome). Most of the people we met were friendly and I never felt unwelcome anywhere we went. I'm looking forward to going back up there for graduation this spring but disappointed that I probably won't have an excuse to go back for another decade. Really disappointed that this is going back to Jerryworld.

It's as far south as San Antonio and as far west as the extreme western part of the panhandle. Looks like Southwest Texas to me.

I noticed the undue anger of our younger student fans. I'm guessing its because of the Texas kids who come here already disliking A&M. Surprised me.

My son in Fayetteville- a recent U of A grad- said that he and his friends had a great time on Dickson after the game. He said that the Ags were out in force. Everyone got along well, with rounds traded between Hogs and Ags, and that any 'a-hole' folks from either side were quickly shushed by both sides.

"I don't get all of their weird shite, but the Ags were damned good people," is his direct quote.

Win or lose, this is what SEC football is supposed to be about. We can fight like hell during the game, but in the end, we shake hands and drink together.

I understand. I was merely pointing out the fact that even though I agree that NWA is pretty in many spots, and just as many other areas of Arkansas are as well, it doesn't mean that Texas doesn't have anything just as pretty.

...but not so much around Vidor.

Minus the rain, wondering where you guys went on Dickson and what places you ate it.

We had a great time. Stayed in Fort Smith but spent the entire day/night in Fayetteville. Parked at the high school and walked up/down Duncan to Dickson. Every Hog fan we ran into said hello, a few said welcome to Fayetteville, and some others asked if we needed help finding anything.

Spent some time on campus and then hit Farrell's (sp??) on Dickson St from 11am until 4pm drinking beer and watching games and the rain through the windows. Lots of Ags there early and Hog fans starting come in about 2 or so. Everyone we ran into was friendly. Had a table of 15 Hog fans beside us and a few came over and sat with us for half hour or so.

Went to the game and a couple of Arky fans I had met in Houston had invited us to their tailgate so we headed over there. They were on the first row on the corner behind the scoreboard across the street from Alumni Row. A bunch of Hog fans including some old timers. Watched a little bit more of the UGA LSU game and headed in.

We were right in the middle of Arkansas season ticket holders on the 47 yard line row 55. Everyone around us was really cool and loud. We had one guy behind us that was convinced Ags were holding on every single play... that got old. Friendly but loud is how I would describe it.

Hit Dickson St after the game, didn't really have any trouble at all. Couple of goofballs wearing ties said Manziel sucks as we were walking through the campus. Really the only negative thing we heard. We went to Hog Brau (Sp?) but it was pretty crowded and warm inside, hit some other outside bar and then made our way back to Fort Smith.

Wish we had a home and home series and could skip Big D altogether. Would really like to go back to Fayetteville for a game in late October when it cools down. We had great time. Hats off to Hog fans and Fayetteville.

I enjoyed telling the Aggies where to go on Dickson to have a good time. Some were walking into bars like The Phoenix and Jose's. I was like noooo! Guys, go to West End or Z or 21st

They were like thank you for helping us. I found every Ag friendly I met. I was really surprised at how many fans you brought. Very loud too.

I got sideways at 21st amendment, Mickey Finns, and Grubbs. Fans were pretty good for the most part, tailgating was a little subdued and late showing, but weather was shitty

That's great. Most fans at most places are really great and welcoming.

And then there is LSU.
