Will MSU ever be successful in football?

I personally don't see it ever happening. They can't get recruits to compete with the big boys because
a. they are mississippi state
b. they are located in starkvegas
c. they have to compete with the best schools in the nation
d. they are mississippi state
e. they are located in mississippi (sorry ole miss)
d. they have a highschool stadium with highschool facilities
Merlins is the best coach you guys will ever get but you guys get pissed when he loses to sec schools, news flash MSU, you are MSU, you won't be winning at all. It doesn't matter what coach

Of course they can. Get a decent schedule with the right players and coaches, anything can happen.

No and I have tried to tell them this on many occasions. I realize it is a difficult realization to come to terms with, but at least they have beautiful Starkv.....oh wait nm.

Agree 100%.
It's almost sad to think about when I hear their fans say Mullins isn't the "right guy"... He's as right as it gets IMO.

They can but State needs to recognize they are a stepping stone program and approach it that way. Hire “up-and-coming” coaches and hope to keep them a few years. Mullin taken them as far as he can and it’s time to move on.

I'd take the shite out if that job. IMO, they are a good QB away from 8 wins every year. Getting paid millions to win 8 games and a bowl is a good gig, IMO. I think MSU people understand they will never win the MNC.
