Chose Arkansas over Texas A&M and SMU and Wichita State.

3rd 4-star of the 2014 class for Mike Anderson.

I thought his list was Arkansas, SMU, Texas Tech, and Tulsa?

If you go by the composite, it's only one 4*.

If you go by regular 247 rankings it's only one 4*.

Nah, he said very recently Arkansas, SMU and A&M.

I have no idea why I added WSU, probably because I saw them in his ESPN profile.

Nobody uses 247 for Basketball yet.

ESPN is the basketball site.

Really? I prefer rivals for basketball and 247 for football.

Rivals is just ahead of 247 in basketball, the only reason razorback sites like it is the top 5 classes they ranked for Arkansas, look at the results and "talent" in those classes to further the fact that ESPN and Scout are ahead of them when it comes to basketball...

In terms of content and the most up to date ratings, for basketball, it's ESPN > Rivals > 247 > Scout.

ESPN has always done a very good job in basketball recruiting, and have at least stepped it up more lately in football.

ESPN updates all summer long during all the circuit play the kids take part in, Peach Jam, Lebron camps, etc. 247 won't do a player update until the end of the summer, which should be soon.

The last 2 years Anderson has now landed 1 five star and four 4 stars. Hell yes gentlemen.

ESPN has 143 4*s right now.

Nice pickup, but at calling him a 4*.

Are you serious? ESPN hasn't updated their basketball rankings in months.

He was a unranked player with no offers not so long ago.

I've never seen so many nitpickers.

Yeah it'll be funny when 247 finally updates and he's a 4 star there as well.

No telling when Rivals will update next but 247 is due at the end of the summer so it should be soon.

Which means Rivals, Scout, and 247 all have more recent rankings than ESPN.

I generally like ESPN's basketball coverage, but again, they have 143 4*. That's way too many.

And their ranking for Thompson is a huge outlier. It'll be interesting to see where they have him ranked next update.

They also updated their top 100 just not even 2 weeks ago at the end of the July camps/tournaments.

They had Telep, and Biancardi their main guys at about every event in the month of July.

ESPN did work.
