Pushing a visit to the right makes it easier to cancel.

I agree on the McNeil front. I think it's a good thing. Was just reading it one level deeper since he and Malik had originally planned to trip together.

I'd be surprised if Malik still visited on 11/15.

The split OVs to me is positive for McNeil more than anything. If they did their thing together, you know Sumlin and the staff are going to roll the red carpet out for Jefferson and everyone else will be secondhand. This way McNeil can get the treatment and attention he's seeking which is good because it means he's very interested.

The last two "tandem" pairs we recruited (Red Bryant and Jorrie Adams, Michael and Martellus Bennett) had the lower rated player being the one who was the higher performer.

I've wanted deandre mcneal for quite a while, IDC what his ranking is etc. Malik being his teammate, and no. 1 on our board doesn't hurt. I wonder if he feels slighted by us waiting so long to offer, or if it means more because he knows he earned it?

In other news Charlie Strong promised the first offensive play next year to Mcneal. We're the gadget program, and they are THE gimmick program. I wonder if he gets to promise two first plays, since he has two OC's

Are you being sarcastic? Or is he really offering him that?

I wish I was that creative. He is literally doing this. I'm embarassed for him, even if it works.

Wow. If that's what he has going for himself, then.............wow. Truly speechless, especially after this whole "core values. No gadgets" crap he spewed. What next? Free Bevo rides?

He's 6'2 230 and listed as an outside linebacker?

I think it says more about the lack of confidence in our upperclass linebackers and the uncertainty of Garner's condition.

Film looks pretty good. Doesn't seem to be elite athletically, but looks aggressive and like he knows how to tackle already so he's probably a day 1 starter lol

At this point I'll take anyone who knows how to put on their pads correctly.

I think it's an excellent pickup. We need maturity there, and George, Walker, Hilliard will be formidable next season, turning a glaring weakness to a place on the front 7 that can hold its own.

I'm still not sure our LB coach has the ability to lead a horse to water

We will know more after Snyder is let go. No way Sumlin keeps him next year. Hagen is a great recruiter but it's hard to judge him from a coaching standpoint because of Snyder. But being a linebacker coach and seeing how this position is basically a dumpster fire this season, he has to shoulder some accountability for this shite. But we will see....
