I'm not saying that I'm aroused by Kyle Field, but going to the game Saturday and am considering bringing an extra pair of pants.

I've come around on the new press box/overhang. I didn't like it's look early on, but now that the exterior is finished, I think it looks pretty sharp.

Does anyone know why the new South Endzone scoreboard has been running continuously for several weeks? It doesn't say anything. It just continuously shifts from a solid screen of one color to another to another.
The thing is so huge that the changing colors actually change the look of the surrounding area every few seconds.

Jason Cook said on the radio yesterday that they are burning it in. I thought that's what you didn't want to do, but what do I know.

Got a job offer from a long time friend in B/CS so I've been packing and moving for the past month with no internet half the time and no time to post when I do have it. Hopefully I can get back on here more soon. I will say I got to read the scoreboard during the LSU game last week and I am proud of y'all.

With older Plasma TVs and CRT monitors "burning in" is what happened when you left your screen on the same image for too long with no change or screensaver(this is exactly why they were invented).
When J Cook says they were trying to burn it in I think he means they are forcing every light/LED on the new board to display its full range of colors in order to make sure it is functioning at 100% and doesn't need to be replaced.
This is just my best guess because Jason, like me, didn't seem like the most knowledgeable source when it comes to video board technology.

Unstickying this thread until after the 2014 home games conclude. Folks will have 18 hours after we Beat The Hell Outta lsu to clear the facilities so phase 2 can begin!

I was thinking about this the other day, and this is nitpicky, but the beige wall directly surrounding the playing field, i think it would have been cool if instead of the beige slabs they used brick that matches the facade to make the wall separating the field from the stands.

Sounds like the construction cams will be going live on Monday. Interested to see what they have done so far.

Is there a demo date for the west stands? I can't imagine it wouldn't be live streamed.
