Can the coaches flip this to get some solid commitments tonight? I have seen teams like Tennessee, Kentucky, and Tennessee do this last year so please don't reply with some "This is what we do" or "Trust Pinkel" BS.

I would definitely be selling the old "Did you see that pile of dog shite out there today? If you come to Mizzou, you can play immediately."

if we had a new coach that would make a large amount of sense, with this coach we kind of know he will play his "experienced favorites".

Our recruiting was already poor, but with the way the season looks like it's going, I expect the bottom to drop out like in 2012. Expect 2* and guys you've never heard of. We have few play makers on this team and not a lot of help coming in next year at positions if need.

As much as I would love to agree with you after such a horrible loss, recruits are different. And today was pathetic. Pinkel has no chance of being fired this year, so that helps. Now, he may be fired after a poor performance in 2015, but not after last year's success.
That helps with recruits. They are not that easily turned after they commit. A few are, sure. i expect we'll lose 1 or 2 that we have and maybe still keep Beckner. It's still the school that will have a first round DE pick if not 2. That means something and it's close to home. They are meeting girls and having a blast at campus parties right now and that looks awesome to any high school kid no matter the score today.
Does it mean we get them? I don't know but a loss isn't as bad as you think. Kentucky added 3 4* players after a loss last week.
Heads up fellas. We might still have the best class yet. We'll know in February.
And don't forget how many people said they would have been happy to take 2 out of 3 from the USC, UGA, UF swing in the schedule. We saw A&M get beat at home so we could still reasonably end at 8-4 or better. Maty needs to practice 2 step drop throws first. Pathetic day for him.

Not arguing but Kentucky got those 3 4* guys after a win vs USCe, not a loss. I have no confidence Maty will improve, he's had 4 weeks to get better but has not done so. I hope we can keep what we have and add Beckner, but I'm not optimistic.

Intriguing but how many guys like this can ya have at one time. The kid is a 6'8" basketball player who decided to play football this year again. The height is intriguing. Being a basketball player with some offers intrigues me. But the kid hasn't established himself as a football player yet. No offer yet but I'll trust the staff knows what they're doing.

Am I the only one who wondered - as Missouri was getting their arse kicked and Ole Miss is on their greatest season since Archie Manning - what Andy Bauer might be thinking?

I'd love to know what kind of B-ball player he is.
If he's an athletic power forward type he could be just what we need.

He might be thinking he made the right choice. With as good as OM is, he might not get a chance to play. With as much help as the MU Oline needs, he might be able to play next year.

Good thing TBJ was in the stands for that awesome game

I hope you're right.
Thanks for posting all the updates you do. I really appreciate it.

I'm not worried. The defense played great until they got dog tired! We have a history of putting defensive linemen in the 1st round of the NFL draft. TBJ has to see that.

I guess that's why the coaches don't like bringing kids in for visits during games, you never know when we'll crap the bed.

We should start going hard after recruits from the Chicagoland area. Columbia is only a 6 hour drive to Chicago, which should give us an advantage over some of the SEC schools that have started going after these kids.
There's no reason these kids should be signing with Big 10 programs, when there is a relatively local SEC school that has experienced a decent amount of success in the league.

27 of the 30 top 10 prospects in Mississippi last three cycles are at #OleMiss or #MissState @PJ247Sports @bartonsimmons
Those guys don't always seem to want to just "get away." For some reason, Mizzou is different.

In a Georgia Tech rivals story, Anree Saint Amour implies a top 3 of GT, Cal, and Michigan State. He has an official scheduled to Minnesota. He lists Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa as his other top schools. Sounds like we are still in it, but have ground to make up.
