My belief that when the price of silver gets too high it hurts the jewelry business because people refuse to buy silver jewelry and that smelters refuse to buy it until it goes back down to it's actual value instead of an inflated value that is the result of speculatorsd.

Why should I give it a rest?

When silver was at $42 an ounce I told everyone not to buy it because it was not going higher and would eventually go back to $20 an ounce.

I was blasted by some posters who said it would never go down again and that it was going to go over $100 an ounce.

Now I expect those posters to tell me that I was right and they were wrong.

You'll have better luck trying to squeeze champagne out of a turd.

C'mon man...its got nothing to do with the jewelry business. Silver is tied to the gold trade and both are getting monkey hammered based on expectations that the Fed will stop buying up our debt...i.e. QE3.

The problem is that the Fed can't stop buying US bonds because interest rates will surge if they do. So...back up the truck if your timeline is over 5 yes....beep....beep...beep...

shite gonna get crazy.....

I'm not saying that was the actual reason why silver went down to $20 an ounce.

I said that was a reason why I believed silver was going to go down to $20 an ounce.

Nevertheless, whatever the actual reasons, I was right and those who said silver was never going to go down and was going to go up to $100 an ounce were wrong.

Precious metals are notoriously volatile, and silver tends to have the biggest relative swings. Unless your strategy is long term, the metals market is just a quick path to a heart attack because of the big ups and downs.

Nothing really overly surprising.

I agree that precious metals are notoriously volatile but silver is less volatile than gold and usually a safer investment than gold.

I only buy silver to make silver jewelry not for investment.

I am going to watch what silver does in the near future to see if it goes a little lower but if it stays around $20 an ounce then at least I can now afford to buy enough silver to make some silver jewelry. At $20 an ounce I can sell my jewelry at a bargain price and still make a $50 profit on every ounce I buy.

Is this Bob? Or is this Bob's brother speaking?

How are we suppose to know unless you clarify it?

Holy shite!

Also, who made the claims about silver going to over $100/ounce and never falling below $20/ounce? Name names. Cause I think you're making it up.

Besides.....did I miss something? Did the american people wake up? Have they discovered the scam beneath their noses facilitated by the central banks and the politicians around the world.....and are they demanding an end to fiat currencies and a return to politician and inflation-proof Sound Money??!!!!

Nope. They didn't. If someone is worried about their investments in gold or silver right now, then I question why they even bought them in the first place.

Scary times ahead. Smoke if ya got 'em...............

If it's Bill he'll say it's Bill otherwise it's always Bob.

Got it, Jeffy?

I'm not going to search right now for the name of the person who said it but it was in the thread talking about silver going up to $42 an ounce.

Anyway, his name is unimportant.

All that matters is that he knows I was right and he was wrong.

What's the matter, Jeffy?

Does it bother you that I was right about something?

Sorry, but you never told me to do that. Forgot about your short-term memory lapses.

I was referring to yours and Bill's Lochness Monster investigation when I asked that.

So. Any new developments?

There is going to be an article about us, our sightings and our first video in the July edition of mysteriousdestinationsmagizine, com

The Travel Channel included a short segment about us, our sightings and our first video in a recent TV program called Legends of Alcatraz.

Our segment is called The Bay Serpent.

We also found an article about some sightings of the animal in and near SF Bay called The Water Horse of San Francisco.Bay.

It included a sighting off the Farallone Islands in the 1960s that we found very interesting.

We did not have the time to look for the animals this winter.
