What are your thoughts on Kirk Olivadotti?

Good hire?
Bad hire?
Too soon to tell?

No.

Belin was ILB and Lakatos is DB coach.
Belin left for the NFL after 2010.

Olivadotti came in after 10 seasons with the Redskins to cover the ILB duties.

Can't fault a guy for jumping to the NFL; though losing Garner was less than ideal. Especially when combined with the fact that it looks like we won't land one of the NFL guys and will settle for a lower-tier coach.

Our athletic department is so fricking tight with money...

I don't blame Belin for anything.

I'm asking what everyone thinks of Olivadotti.

And you've come to this conclusion... how?

meansonny,
So we're talking about the replacement(not a bad thing)of the original ILB coach? My initial reaction is to say that Alec Ogletree covered up much of the ILB play and the jury is still out.. I know the linebackers are young and talented but for some reason I'm not feeling their presence at UGA

Much respect to inside linebackers in general from me btw

Just as a heads up. Grantham started interviewing TODAY. And it is believed this could take a few weeks because some of his candidates are still coaching in the playoffs.

I'd be very surprised if we don't hire a NFL coach.

I am pleased with coach O thus far. With that being said I do hope that he can get Herrera to play within the system and be a more disciplined player. I understand that ultimately this is the players responsibility but with the right guy coaching him I think Herrera could be special

Coach O is an outstanding coach. Don't look at tree. Look at hhererererereaaa, gilly and c-rob.

Don't kid yourself. Tech will take what they can get. Not what they want.

Rocker's not leaving the Titans, Philip Daniels has never been a coach, Belue is touting Giff Smith which means it won't happen, Travis Jones has "ethical" issues, and any NFL DL coach will have to take a paycut and put in more work to coach at UGA.

Rumph is a pipedream; Bama will always outbid UGA.

Not saying we won't make a good hire, but it won't be a splash hire. If we can get a guy from C-USA that can coach up guys, a la Will Friend, then I'd be happy.

If it does come down to UGA and Tech fighting for Smith...UGA wins all day.
