To be fair, the SEC team in the Sugar Bowl is usually disappointed about not getting in the NCG and has a hard time getting up for powerhouses like Louisville and Utah in what is somewhat of a meaningless game.

Nobody cares about the Sugar Bowl. It's barely better than the Orange Bowl. The gameday atmosphere is completely non-existent and there hasn't been an interesting non-championship matchup in over a decade.

Sugar Bowl is set up for the SEC to be disappointed. Louisville, Hawaii, Utah, Cincinnati. I mean really. Nothing good can come from those matchups.

They should stop playing the Sugar Bowl if SEC teams no longer care about their own bowl.

Who knew the SEC's talent was entirely derived from "getting up for a game."

How pathetic can excuses get nowadays...no other conference lives off of one team when their other teams falter.

LSU lost to Bama in the Superdome. I believe the score was 21-0.

Wasn't that neat and stuff?

This really doesn't hold up with Florida steamrolling Cincinnati in 2009, imo. Good teams get up to play. Bottom line.

The Sugar Bowl is garbage though. There are a lot of fans from Big 10 and Pac 12 schools who would give their left nut to see their team play in the Rose Bowl. The Sugar Bowl doesn't have that cache. Neither does the Orange Bowl.

a pathetic excuse from a deluded self entitled fan

if you cant get up for a BCS bowl you dont deserve to be there.

I've been to a bunch of Sugar Bowls before and I've noticed how the crowds are nothing like they used to be.

What gives?

I went to Notre Dame - Florida in 1992, Alabama-Miami in 1990, Florida-Miami in 2001, and Alabama-Utah in 2009.

The Alabama-Utah game had a ton of seats empty in the upper deck. I get that a lot of their fans were still bummed about losing to florida that year but come on, its still a BCS bowl... that crowd had nothing on the other ones I went to.
