14 team SEC is unsustainable. SEC Needs to get to 16 now.

Which two should we grab?

I know it doesn't make sense from the TV standpoint, but I want FSU and Clemson.

UNC is probably the ACC's most attractive team from an SEC perspective though.

Maryland, Rutgers and the Big11 seem to think it is.

So is Maryland > Mizzou? How'd they get the B1G invite that Mizzou wanted?

And the SEC will probably only expand to new states. But 4 pods of 4 in 16 team conference would be better.

If the SEC wouldn't have taken Mizzou the B1G would have snatched them up sooner or later because of all the expansion mess. I had a feeling the B1G would go after some teams. Now the Big 12 will try to expand again to keep up.

no, but with Maryland making a move, the chips are starting to fall again.

I don't REALLY hope he dies. Maybe just gets cancer and nearly dies, but recovers to live a happy life while realizing, unlike the rest of us, that he's wasted too much of his life worrying about a stupid game and reading an internet forum.

If SEC would have gone with WV, Mizzou would be accepting a B1G invite today.

Would like to have UVA and Va Tech.

UNC would not leave Duke. They literally can't leave NC State.

If Duke went Independant in Basketball then I can see UNC and NC State coming in.

Va Tech and Clemson-put them in the East and slide Mizzou over the the West.

If we expand we also need to add a conference game to the schedule. I think it's retarded to have a majority of SEC teams not play each other.

I think if we expand it'd be 4 pods of 4, which would make it easier to play every team.

no, the beauty of 16 teams is four pods.. literally fixes every single scheduling problem induced by the 14 team SEC

Keeping two divisions just exacerbates those problems

no we don't

each team would play the other 3 in their pod + 2 in each adjacent pod + 1 in the far pod. You could even preserve cross-pod rivalries.

Every team plays each other every 4 years. Home/home rotation every 8.

I think academically and culturally, Maryland might be a better fit for B1G and the CIC.

Forgot about the pod system. Using my Va Tech/Clemson example it could be:

Arky
Mizzou
A&M
LSU

Bama
Auburn
Ole Miss
Miss State

Va Tech
Clemson
South Carolina
Tennessee

Georgia
Florida
Kentucky
Vanderbilt
