This is kind of hard to define. I don't mean a cool play like a double reverse pass or something, I mean something where you're instantly glad you were there because what you saw was special and you might not see it again. Could even be a big fight in the stands, doesn't really matter. Here's mine:

It was during the 2004 beating we were getting in Auburn. I'm sure yall know the play I'm talking about where Reggie Brown got knocked out going over the middle and Auburn recovered the fumble (please, no flames about it if was legal or not, start another thread if you want). At first the place is nuts because of the hit and recovery. After like 10 seconds Reggie hadn't moved so it started to quiet down a little. After a minute or so and the trainers and everyone is out it was silent, like usual in situations like this. I'll never forget what happened next. I hear a soft murmur start up, and after a few seconds I can make out "Reg-gie, Reg-gie". People are looking around though because it's so quiet, then we realize where it's coming from- Auburn's side of the field in front of their student section. They were even doing the blue and orange shakers in rhythm. It started to get louder as the rest of the stadium joined in. By the time Georgia fans joined in the whole Auburn crowd was already chanting full force. To hear the whole stadium chanting his name while he was motionless and know it was started by the opposing team was truly awesome. I got goosebumps from head to toe. I'll always dislike Auburn a tad bit less because of that.

The Coolest / Creepiest thing I witnessed was I think it was at the '08 UT game and me and my friend got inside the stadium pretty early so there weren't that many people in the stands yet but a few rows over there was this guy dressed as a chicken.. and i dont mean like our mascot type chicken like a yellow chicken. It was kind of creepy because when he looked in my direction I couldn't tell if he was looking at me.

kinda looked like that.

also one of the most non-football related frustrations at a game i had was my seat had been chosen as a winner for some pizza hut promotion and me and the 10 people in my row were supposed to get pizzas in the 3rd QT. 3rd QT comes around and the promoter guy comes back up to me and says they had a mix up with Pizza Hut so no pizzas so they'll say I won some "Txt to win competition" and after the game they'll call me and ill get free shirts or something. Not only did they never call me and I didn't get my free shirts but the time they called out my name as the winner I was in the bathroom and didn't hear it.
I have since boycotted Pizza Hut

I was there as well and at first we were going nuts and then like you said, we noticed he wasn't moving. Man, that was a cool moment for sure. Since you got that, I'm gonna say last year's WVU game at Auburn when the game was delayed for an hour but the whole student section stayed out and went nuts. Then after we were down 14-3, the rally to beat them that ensued was amazing to watch. Loved that damn game.

Did it originate with the students? I know it started over towards that end where Reggie was down, but I didn't know if it was the students or just one of those sections.

A couple games actually

1. Was glad to be at SCar in 2007, to watch RunDMC tie the all time SEC rushing record for a single game with 321 yds. Simply amazing IMO.

2. #9 South Carolina in the Rock in 2001. Probably the loudest game I have been to in my life. LB Carlos Hall blocked a FG attempt with seconds remaining, to secure the Hogs 10-7 win. This is actually the game I started thinking ghosts roamed War Memorial Stadium. No way Hall got up that high on his own.
7:42 mark is where it is

I'm 99% sure it did because I don't think most of the older fans would have known his name. It sure as hell sounded like it started there.

I had forgotten SC used to play in Little Rock. Was that the same game where SC had a WR wide, and I do mean wide open, way down field but for whatever reason we couldn't connect on the pass? The only picture in my head of that is just seeing a Gamecock WR all alone and remembering something got F'd up with that play... could be an entirely different game?

I was a huge Michael Jordan fan.... for years.

I went to the Omni for a Bulls/Hawks game several years ago.

We got there early, and were among the first people let into the building.

We literally ran to the entrance and ran the stairs to the floor, and ......

... there was Jordan...

In his Carolina Blue shorts.... playing one-on-one with Cliff Levingston... talking smack... three feet away from me.

I never said a word.... but I'll always remember the moment.

This year I am sittin in JHS in the damn rain and I spotted someone in a full Stewie Griffin suit. Pretty funny.

I have to say that nothing beats looking up at the jumbotron in a tv timeout and seeing an Auburn student (who instantly earned my respect) dressed head to toe as this family man and just STARING into the camera........

Literally spit out my bourbon.
