so thoruoughly. is ole miss playing better, or just against lesser
competition. alabama's line was better then lsu's , but not
light years ahead.

I think it's a combination.

McCluster had 9 touches against Bama. 6 rushes and 3 receptions. He makes their offense go.

What's sad is it cost them several early losses but Nutt needed him healthy for Ark, what a petty man

Up front. Bama's D were dominate up front on D against ole miss' OL. They rattled Sneed and that pretty much ended it.

On offense, bama just kept pounding away and finally hit paydirt on the long Ingram run.

LSU's D is totally different. ole miss will move the ball. The key will be whether they can score 7 or settle for FG opportunities.
My concern for LSU is what in the world will our OL do with ole miss' DL. I think their going to eat our lunch.

Say what you will about McCluster.
But he was getting 2.5 ypc against us and
he was having some success receiving with three receptions for 22 yards.
Alabama's defensive line dominate the first half and most of their team wanted no part of Alabama in the second half.

Was one of the most dominant halves of defense I've seen in my day.

They followed "the process", and they played the whole 60 mins.

I don't believe that... I'm not saying LSU is gonna blow Ole Miss off the line on every single play, but you're making this OM defense out to be the 2008 Pittsburgh Steelers... that ain't the case.

yeah I thought that too-- it is the only way to guarantee him being healthy for our game was to not use him much at the first of the year. However 10 Dexter Mcclusters will not help him out next year...

Marcel Dareus knocked the hell out of McCluster, and then McCluster got the hell knocked out of him again on a kick return. He was banged up all game. Not to mention Snead was running for his life most of the game.

Once again........completely ignore whatever comes out of any hawgs mouth regarding Ole Miss. There may be one or two logical posters, but it's just safe to ignore them all.

Bama shut us down because our OL was still TERRIBLE and Bama's front 7 was eating them up all game. We had NO running game, our passing game was non-existant, and Dex got smacked a couple of times.

That's how Bama's defense shut our O down. Had absolutely NOTHING to do with us playing Arkansas 2 weeks after that.

Arkansas fans talked about next year constantly last year.

But too be technical, Korvic Neat broke all of Dex's high school records..........and we signed him. Not saying we'll be able to just throw him in with no difference in play......but just saying we potentially have another Dex.

And Randall Mackey could be an instant beast in the WR next year. He accounted for something like 650 yards in the MS Juco state championship a few weeks ago.
