Watched the game in Natchez tonight while having to listen to an insufferable bitch from Ole Miss and some dude screaming for Texas just because they hate LSU.
I was at LSU in the 70's when we truly hated each other. And to think I got caught up in this SEC! SEC! bullshite and actually pulled for Ole Miss in the Cotton Bowl against TT.
After tonight - no more - Go To F'n Hell Ole Miss!

Ole Piss fans are rude,unsportsmanlike,and are totally disgusting.(see 1972) The jealousy is just totally unmatched by any other fanbase in the SEC. As much as I hate to say it, I like Bama much more, compared to them. 
They are a bunch of whiney bitches.

Thought I got rid of that after Tubby left. Checked "Do not display signature images." Guess that only kept me from seeing them. Must be really fuppedduck.

I lived in Tupelo for 5 years. I know all about their LSU hate. They always pulled for whoever played us. I never even cared about them prior to my move there. Now I just hate 'em right back.
But, it's no different than the ULL guys in my office. They were pulling for Tex too.

Just a WAG here but, if the fans of other teams always pull against you in whatever sport you play, it might say something about how LSU is viewed by the rest of the fans of other programs.
Which carries more weight? Thousands, upon thousands of fans from multiple schools hoping LSU loses because they can't stand LSU fans, or every member of Tigernation dismissing those people as "haters"?
FWIW, I have no dog in this hunt, I'm simply throwing this out there. Wife went to LSU. When LSU wins, my house is a very nice place to live.

True, ESPN is the hater of all haters. I'll second that. But I'm not sure it's just OM, ULL and TU fans who despise LSU (although I will admit that those 3 schools prolly lead the hate category).
Someone needs to lobby congress for some "steal-from-us" funds to conduct a national survey of feelings towards LSU. Then at least we'd have some real numbers to talk about.

I think saying that "thousands upon thousands" hating LSU is going a bit too far, don't you think? Actually, almost every poster representing other schools wished LSU good luck, with the exception of a few douchebags from Ole Miss and Alabama. So, it seems like you guys are in the minority. Jealousy brings out the worst in people.

When you're successful more people hate you because they are jealous. No one will be jealous of you when you're not successful.
Most fans of other NFL teams hated the 49ers in the 80's, the Cowboys in the 90's and now most hate the Patriots. See a pattern?

Just as it might be an assumption on my part that "thousands upon thousands" hate LSU, it's as equal an assumption on your part that "thousands upon thousands" do NOT hate LSU. Agree to disagree. Neither of us have, nor will ever have, concrete facts about this. That's why it's fun to poke the guy who starts a GTHOM thread after his baseball team just won an NC.

I know he was provoked, but were I in that situation, I'd have prolly waited till the game was over, and I'd have the bartender deliver them each a drink on me as I was walking out the door.

Very true. An if a survey was ever taken, how many people would actually tell the truth behind their LSU hate? Most would probably call it legitimate, all the while knowing that they were jealous. That's why this discussion is academic at best.

I was in San Jose, CA a couple of months ago and everytime I mentioned I was from LA more times than not they asked me about LSU (if I was fan, are we going to good again this year, etc). I found the people out there have a positive image of LSU and enjoy watching us on TV. Actually, I met quite a few people from different states out there (VA, MI, OR, etc) and it was basically the same.
It's mainly ULL, Tulane, Ole Miss, and some Bama fans that really hate LSU.
