not all hate is jeolousy. ULL totally but Ole Miss and Tulane think we all play for Visigoth State. they actually think they are better than us. Tulane think they are intellectual elitists and Ole Miss think they're "classy" gentlemen. in 2003, the ole miss school paper wrote an article on how all louisianians are vile cajuns not realizing their star QB was from new orleans.

5 different threads on the front page of this board alone from non-LSU posters which "Congratulate the Tigers on their victory"........Immediate evidence does not support your assertion that thousands upon thousands hate LSU because our fan base has somehow wronged them.......

It's mainly ULL, Tulane, and any other fans who just happen to live in Louisiana. I would have little beef with LSU if I didn't live in Gonzales.

The DM. Never letting facts get in the way of bashing Louisiana. It's why I love the DM.

Just as it might be an assumption on my part that "thousands upon thousands" hate LSU, it's as equal an assumption on your part that "thousands upon thousands" do NOT hate LSU.

I'm basing my opinion on the posters I've encountered on this site. The only ones who seem to go out of their way to stir up shite are the "fans" from ULL, Ole Miss, and to a lesser extent, Bama. Ole Miss is by far the worst. It's the biggest case of penis envy I've ever seen. I lived in the hell hole you call Jackson for several months while doing an internship, so I've seen and heard it all firsthand.

And, for what it's worth, you guys didn't leave a very favorable impression on the folks from Lubbock at the Cotton Bowl last year. I had several co-workers who are Tech fans complain about what huge assholes the Ole Miss fans were.

Actually, I met quite a few people from different states out there (VA, MI, OR, etc) and it was basically the same.

Don't doubt that. I'd guess that the hate is strongly related to proximity of LSU.

Put it this way, if you haven't been to TS for a game, don't run into LSU fans at least weekly and haven't had the pleasure of attending a bowl game against LSU then you probably won't hate LSU or their fans unless you're purely jealous of LSU's success.

If you've only watched on TV and met a few LSU fans who were on their best behavior on vacation outside the south, you've most likely formed a positive opinion.

"World" traveler LSU fans (such as yourself) are probably more likeable because you have a knowledge of more than Louisiana and it's little LSU cocoon. There are a much larger number of LSUers who think LSU sports are everything that matters in the world, and those are the ones who turn off fanbases of other schools.

wow, how amazing....Because Tech fans left the same impressions on Ole Miss fans. Tech fans are far worse than ANY fan base that i have ever come across in the SEC. It is pretty evident that our impressions of TTU is true based on EVERYONE in the Big 12 having the same opinion.

You just need to tell them to admit that they are just butthurt because they lost.

Can't argue about that at all. Set records at the "OM" hotel bar for alcohol consumption for the entire weekend of the game and most if not all of our fans were probably sporting some extra toot.

Ironically, half way through the season, before the cotton bowl was even in the picture, I had decided that I wanted Tech to run the table and teach the big boys (UT, USC, LSU, UF) a lesson. I had sided with them. The week that it became apparent that there MIGHT be a UM/TT matchup in the CB, they directed their feelings of BCS shunning towards us. And for 6 weeks or more, every word out of their mouths (from their players, coaches, fans etc) consisted of disrespect and animosity towards us for "bringing them down" to the lowly cotton bowl. We had nothing to do with it. We were selected just like them but they chose to throw attitude around. You can't ignore the fact that they had spent 6 weeks whipping our fans, coaches and players into a frenzy. Once the domination commenced, they should have known it would come back to bite them in the arse.

I can't count them now that I'm in reply mode, but there are several (including the one you're posting in right now) about OM not being there/co champs/GTH, etc.

Can't talk about one side without exposing the other... n stuff.

ETA: after a quick review : 3 anti OM threads, 1 anti Bama and a UGA thread on the 2nd page. But hey, this is your board, and I'm not going to ask LSU fans to change the way they post on their own board. I'm simply pointing out that with the positive, comes the negative.

But seriously.......Tech fan's thoughts on other team's fan base should be thrown out the window. Tech hates everyone and everyone hates Tech.

I lived in Texas for 2 years. Everyone there hates Tech fans. Personally, I like them over Tex and TAM but that's just me. I guess that's because we never played them.
