I'm still interested in seeing what people in this thread propose that we do about the Mageo situation...

A hell of a lot of bitching about him...yet no one seems to have a solution.

Let him play. It's not like we have a bunch of 4-5*s at the position. The game will slow down for him eventually, and even if it doesn't, oh well.

^ agree with this…the kid was the leading tackler on a PAC-12 team. So he has the athletic ability. It is just getting comfortable with the scheme.

Suddenly he has been moved to started according to CHF at today's presser. So they must have seen something we all didn't see. Which makes sense, you know, considering it's their job and all that.

I heard his name 6 times in a row. I think he is a good run-stopping LB. We'll see more about the pass coverage on Saturday.

Reality speaking as the MLB he just needs to be able to drop back and cover the underneath usually. This is not a Tampa 2 where we expect him to drop back and cover like a Safety.

He's a one hit wonder and if he can't really help us until game 6, we should be playing players that will be here to help us next season.

5th year grad student at aTm learned an offense. Maybe Maggeo should have come to campus sooner and prepared and ready to contribute in the first game.

Hibbler will probably start in the middle next season, so I'll have that and you guys can keep making excuses for a 6' 215 lb middle linebacker.

Bing-Dukes needs to get faster and lose about 15 lbs.

I assume Mageo did not graduate until August.

He was better against Waffle.

He was even better than Taylor Polk.

You have no freaking clue what you are talking about. No one but crazed fans expect the guy to come in and automatically pick up a defense he just learned. If our defense was that simple to pick up at this level I'd have real concerns.

This guy as well as this team if they continue to buy in, should get better and better as the season progresses.

When I saw Polk was playing lots of meaningful snaps in the FSU game I knew we had lost. Love that he is on the team and he has a ton of heart....but he is not an SEC caliber starting LB.

Maggeo will play a lot better than he did against FSU. Take that to the bank!

Wish he had been in there earlier. Like I have said I love Polk's heart but he is too slow and everytime he was in he was either trailing the play or getting caught up in the wash.

Has this guy made a meaningful tackle this year??

He is great at jumping on piles at the end of plays but seriously... Has he made a stop in the backfield or any other meaningful play this year?
