If your SO was in a car accident and paralyzed from the waste down would you stop loving or abandon him/her? Extreme analogy but I think you'll get my point.

No I don't get your point.

An accident is an accident and is isn't caused by someone being a politically correct a-hole. If our school ever changes Rebels or OM that was THEIR choice. Big difference.

But I agree besides bitching non stop it wouldn't change anything. Only thing i would do different would be NEVER buying an Ole Miss article of clothing/anything without either OM, Rebels, or the Col on it. But I already do that as it is.

I was under the impression they were naming Coliseum Drive after Chucky, not Confederate Drive?

That's true.

Confederate drive is going to be named Chapel drive.

The thing is, they could name it "Jesus Christ and Ronald Reagan Parkway" and you'd still have Ole Miss people up in arms.

The plan is to demolish the Tad Pad.

They have discussed changing "rebels" as well.

Yes, but didn't they conclude that the brand name "Rebels" was too valuable to get rid of (just yet, at least)? That's what I remember Ross Bjork saying when he first got to Ole Miss. Some fan asked "ROSS YOU GONNA TAKE OUR REBELS?!?!" He was like "no, bitch, please don't ask dumb shite questions."

For the people who are ok with the changes that have happened/ that are currently shaping up to happen. Is there a breaking point for you? And if so what is it?

Ole Miss?

Rebels?

I would only support getting rid of Rebels if we go back to the "Flood" because that's badass to me.

And even then I wouldn't like it for a while.

The people alive and associated with the school at the time we were called the Flood were actually very racist, you racist.

At what point do the people who are offended by the name, school, band, colors, street names, etc. quit living in the past? This goes both ways.

Joking bruh. The Flood would be a suitable compromise 5 years after the compromise was made.

I had ancestors killed in the great flood that the Flood mascot came from. I would be super offended.

Idk but there's nothing I can do about determining what does and doesn't offend somebody.

But like I said I'll be pissed if they make the changes. But like I also said, it's not gonna change how I feel about my school. The people running it? Absolutely.

I agree with this. Not necessarily about confederate drive and the pride of the south, but Ole Miss and Rebels are the only ones that really matter to me.
