Jeremy Liggins, who reported to Ole Miss this past winter weighing 310 pounds, will start as a tight end, could play quarterback and may finish as an offensive lineman.
Liggins' long-term role with the team might very well be determined by his appetite and waistline.

"He might end up being an offensive lineman before it's all over -- an NFL one," Freeze said.

Freeze said Liggins reported to Ole Miss this past winter weighing about 310 pounds. Liggins has dropped about 30 pounds over the past several months, but Freeze said he's still too big to play quarterback in his spread offense.

But a fat quarterback worked for Grambling State a few years back...

But for real, he is gonna touch the ball this season. Whether it be at tightend or running it in goal line situations. Despite his weight, Freeze still knows he is a strong, fast, and athletic player. This is what I expected and agree with the boss man.

I would think Freeze has him in mind to try and alleviate your red zone troubles.

We need something. A gift from God wouldn't hurt.

Wrong, a gift from god would be a combo of Renardo Sidney/ Marshall Henderson

You were here back in the good ole days when we'd get the monthly Renardo Sidney updates from Bundy.

Yep. I'm not gonna lie. I used to genuinely dislike Bundy when he was 601 dawg. Then my dislike turned into pity. I bet IRL he is fine, but it's easy to imagine what people are like on a message board and come to conclusions, and mine wasn't a good one of ol' Bundy

Bundy was annoying at first until he teamed up with coach34 and went on a prediction-fail spree, then it just became comical.

Marshnardo Sidnerson truly is the elusive nacho-snorting Serpentor of landmass basketball.

I say he sticks at TE and Ward is moved back to defense or redshirted

I'd like to see him playing TE along with the brunetti role

You're going to see a lot of Kincade especially short yardage even though they keep saying its going to be Liggins.

He's just plain better at running than JL.

Liggins played at 270 his senior year. He is a much better runner than Kincade if he can get to that weight.

Liggins would have had to regress tremendously since high school for his running abilities to be in doubt. Admittedly I haven't seen him play since then, but he was one hell of a runner.

Yeah I think he was at his best his junior year when he was at 250lbs. His senior year you could tell he had more weight on him but he was still effective. That junior year though he was a beast. I'd like to see him around 260.

The guy would be a freak of nature as a OL. I'm not sure if he is strong enough for that position though but his feet would be like no other.

I just wanna see him play TE if he has the hands for it. He brings to mind Rufus French.

I don't know if there can be a better short yardage runner than JL if he gets down to 270. I also think if JL isn't our redone QB, that Alford has as good a chance at getting that job as Devante. At least that's what I'm told.
