I have never gotten over the fact that Cox is a scrub in the NBA and will not make it but refused to play OL for us and play on Sunday. He is a total wanna be. He should have at least played both sports. Disappointed he didn't.

The kid wanted to play basketball. We all assume that he would be a huge football stud, the same was said about Murph and look how that turned out. If his dream is to play basketball, we should let him chase his dream without criticing him

This thread looks identical to an old Stansbury thread where you have the people who think the world of AK and those who can't wait to get rid of him.
I'm on the side of those who say, frick AK hire anybody else.
When the new arena comes it's time to start fresh and new with a new staff.

Fan is short for fanatic. When Ole Miss decided not fire AK after the incident that made national news, you should have learned what our standards were for basketball HCs. I honestly rank bball behind baseball in terms of importance. Baseball used to be much more important than it is today. The NBA is too thuggish and I never watch it. If we make the NIT is consider that a bowl game. The NCAA is a good bowl game. But most fans are happy as long as you have a winning record. Let's slip below 500 and we'll talk. One more thing, remember Cut? If you fire AK now it will be 2nd Act but worse IMO.

I'm glad he didn't. He wanted to play bball and was lazy as frick. Imagine him attempting to play a sport he didn't want to play.

God, that is a bad thought. I guess I look at football as like joining the Marines. They get their pound of flesh one way or another. Seriously I suspected he was soft all along, but hoped football would have toughened him up.

He'd always come into the liquor store after games. Last year, when he was hurt, I was watching a game on TV...he was on the bench the whole game. Next thing I know, this dude walks into the store with like a minute left in the game. He was always cocky. I'd always say stupid shite to him...like, "I know you aren't hurt...we're just holding back our secret weapon for the SEC Tourney, huh?" or "when is Shaq Sr. going to play?" He always thought I was serious, which, no doubt, made it even funnier

I see you are new at this whole Ole Miss fan thing. Get used to beating the good teams and losing to the bad ones. It's trademark Ole Miss.
FYI - At least AK has us somewhat competitive in basketball.

You would rather watch SEC basketball over the NBA? That's insane.

I think AK should get a couple of seasons in the new arena. I don't think he's god's gift of basketball coaches, but he has been more successful than any other coach at OM.
There are only two teams in the SEC I would trade coaches with right now.

We got our basketball fix for the decade last year. We need to focus all of our energy into running Bianco off right now.

I'm not even excited about OM baseball

This! The time for firing will be this summer. We are a bottom dwelling basketball program and could be doing much, much worse (look at starkville).

Funny how we're 1-1 against you this year. GTFO with that weak arse bullshite.
Rick Ray is 10x the coach the AK is.
Get some more posts before you start talking shite.

Probably a little early to be making that prediction ... AK's first year he took over an OM team that won 3 SEC games the previous season... Took them to an 8-8 SEC record with Clarence Sanders, Todd Abernathy and Bam fricking Doyne... Pretty remarkable job when you think about it.
