What's funny is that it's so typical of OM to do that. Anytime we have a chance to make the next step we always fail. It makes you fatalistic as a sports fan.

Besides Michael white who are some serious names that people want? Who will want to come to a place that fired his schools winningest coach in the middle of a school record run following an SEC tourney run?

Nobody is getting fired so that hypothetical is a worthless exercise.

Anyone seriously thinking we could do better than AK is delusional.

Yeah I knew as soon as I saw we left them 12 seconds that we were going to lose. I hate that I get that feeling, but it makes it easier to cope. When we actually pull out victories in the clutch I almost don't even know what to do with myself.

What a pathetic hobby I have subjected myself to. I often laugh at myself for the absurdity.

It's in my subconscious at this point. I really don't know what I would do if we ever broke though in any sport. Complete catharsis.

I honestly am not sure what I would be capable of if we managed some real success.

Great choice of vocabulary.

Honestly if we ever won something meaningful it probably wouldn't be good for me. I would be a terrible person to opposing fanbases. Luckily for me I'll never get that opportunity.

Fwiw mercer will be in the tourney this year. I'm not a big ak fan. But not sure we could do better with someone else. We need a big man in the paint desperately.

I'd put the blame more on Cox and Millinghaus. Those two are just fricking miserable. I understand that Coleby isn't developed yet and Newby is hurt...but good God. I'd rather run Marshall/Summers/White to death out there before I put Millinghaus in. And Cox and AJ...I really want to see them in practice. Two of the laziest athletes I have ever seen.

+1. Like others have said, get the new arena built and there's no reason not to have tournament expectations every year. Consistently winning 20 or more games is as good as you can (realistically) hope for. This fanbase is a fair-weathered as they come. Basketball in particular
