He is but it's all about PT. He looks at their roster and realizes he could see action faster. However, all the top ranked uncommitted recruits are giving him a heavy dose of sin about it.

My brother works in Clinton and talked to someone who goes to church with and is friends with Akers. He said that Cam's top three is Ohio State, Alabama, and us. Said his dad doesn't want him to go to Ohio State and that Tennessee is out and Florida State isn't as much of a factor as people think.

Also his Dad is concerned about the number of hits he will take if he is a "bell cow RB". If he goes Ole Miss he'd still get the action (10-15 touches a game) but it would not be like Derek Henry numbers (20-+30 touches a game). Opposing D's would have to be Leary of all the receiving talent.

So Phillips committed to OU. Not really surprising but one less in the pool for next years starting LBs

They have 6 linebackers committed in their class.
And at least 3 are 4 stars. Gonna be a crazy 4-5-3 defense I guess.
But Jacob Phillips is the best of them all.
