The lack of sunlight alone would cause me to kill myself living up there.

Some people enjoy cold and dreary. Not me. Makes me physically ill after a while.

It's not bad. Shortest day (Winter Solstice) in Juneau

My cuz is in Fairbanks, getting ready for his first Alaska Winter, I call him every couple of days to keep him hyped up,sort of wish that I am there with him, maybe next year. He has a wife and a new baby there with him.

Man, he is already telling me some good stories, like one about a guy who rides a bicycle everyday and there is a bear that keeps circling closer and closer to a certain point on the road where the guy has a hill to climb.

It may be bullshite,my cousin enjoys telling a good story, but that's why I love talking to him.

Oh, good chance it's real. Just daily things you deal with up here.

I've had them in my house before, dragging the trash out. 3 am, not the kind of thing you really want to see.

It was cool in ATL today. I took grandkids to the park and wore a light jacket for the first time this season.

I'd be riding my bike with Desert Eagle on my hip.

Me too. I think people who want it to be 95 degrees all year long are weird. It's why I could never live somewhere like Miami where you don't really have a change in season. Absolutely love the seasonal change in October. Still warm enough to do just about anything with some shots of cold weather.

It's been topping out at 70 for the past couple of days and it's been absolutely wonderful. I love this weather.
