What is this winter you speak of?
(Currently 95 with a heat index of 104 for me)

Are you near Auburn right now and needing a jacket?
I am headed home for a few days tomorrow, sure would love some nice cool weather.

I bet you do not work outside in the cold all day. frick that.
I may have agreed with you 30 years ago. Now that I am old, frick the cold.

You must be somewhere up North. Its still hot down here. In Houston we dont see a winter most years. Just a long autumn mixed in with a few cold fronts that last for 3-5 days. Many Christmas's i could have worn shorts outside if I wanted too.

i worked in my underwear this morning because it was so friggin hot.
i will say we are dipping into the low 90s and 80s this week, so that's nice, but i think the south as a whole is still humid and hot.

Yea, north Georgia. I work outside. Its cool at daylight. Needed a light jacket this morning for the first time this fall. It just prompted my brain that shite is close
Next
Long pants
then
Bigger Jacket
then
Bibs
and then
Gloves and Hat
frick that. My body is not ready
Shorts, flip flops and a GFAF attitude. That is how it should be
Anything under 50 is fricking cold

Never met a fisherman that didn't love winter. No fishing pressure. No ski boats or sea doos. Boat launch isn't a cluster.
frick summer. I put my shite up in the summer and don't even fish. Not worth the hassle.

I am outside a lot, in much colder places than Alabama too, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington,etc.. still prefer that to Alabama summer. Of course 50-65 year round would seem perfect.

I am in the north Georgia mountains. Foothills anyway. My problem with the cold is that I am out in it everyday in the winter, all day long. 8-9 hours straight with the wind and zero ability to get out of the weather even for 5 mins. 8-9 straight hours of that cold, wet shite and once you get cold, there is no way to warm up; till you get back to the ramp and get in the truck.
I do fine when I am out in the 30-40 deg all day but I do not recover as quick as I once did. Takes me hours to warm up now once I am home.
In good with 85-90 deg everyday for the rest of my life if that is possible.
