Oh, good, a professional has chimed in. Would you support the manufacture of handguns to be used by squirrels?

I'm interested in your professional opinion. I'm certainly not seeking investors at this point. We'd need a working prototype and a marketing plan before worrying about funding.

Speaking of a marketing plan, as a veterinarian, do you happen to know if squirrels are particularly susceptible to traditional marketing techniques?

but 86% of violent crimes involving a gun are committed with a handgun.

Which makes you wonder why the Dims have such a stick up their arse about the semi-automatic black rifles that are used in about 1% of gun crimes. It's not Jed down in Mississippi causing trouble with his AR-15 that's the serious issue. It's JaQuairius in Detroit dome'n muthafrickas with his Lorcin 9 over who gets to sell drugs from which street corner that's the problem.

Actually a handgun is simply more convenient to commit a crime with because it's easy to conceal, carry, and discard of.

Rifles are more practical for hunting/home defense than to go out and commit a crime.

The "assault rifles" only seem dangerous because they look like military weapons and it's easy for libs to gain support against them because you can scare people who aren't knowledgeable on guns by showing them one. It's an easy way for them to try and limit 2nd amendment rights and banning them wouldn't change crime statistics not by one person. It did no good when Clinton banned them, and would do no good now.

People like them because it's gives peace of mind just in case something drastic happens and such a weapon is needed. Most likely will never actually "need" it, but people should have a right to that peace of mind.

3 shotguns here (if you can call a .410 a gun) all accumulated over the years. And a Glock 9mm for the coming zombie apocalypse. It's in a gun safe, ready to kill zombies. The founding fathers clearly had the zombie apocalypse in mind when they wrote the 2nd amendment.

Umm. The question was more rhetorical. I knew the answer already, Chief.

They have had very small concealable weapons for a long time...the derringer or similar weapons come to mind.

And if the libs ever do outlaw guns, the only ones that will have them are the criminals. Doubt me? There sure is not,to my knowledge,a shortage of illegal drugs on the street.

Hey Joe! Guns are against the law now? What are we going to use now for our holdups? Well Sam,I guess we will just have to go straight. Damn.

Agreed. It's after midnight and this is a weird conversation. Are you in fact a veterinarian? A previous poster has suggested that squirrels be given handguns. I didn't make the suggestion, I'm merely musing about the feasibility.

A shotgun is big and cumbersome and as far as I know i can't put it in my pocket or stick it inside my pants without walking like a constipated idiot.

12 yr old just shot two kids at my sons school in NM with a shotgun he concealed in a sports bag after altering it.

I get that you are questioning guns and other things due to the newborn coming, but focus on keeping them secured and available to those responsible. I know it is used a lot, but true: People are the ones killing or maiming people, and they use many methods in accomplishing that.

Yes, I am. I also do a great deal of hunting and fishing so i enjoy my guns. Squirrels with sidearms would make things a lot more interesting in the woods for sure.

Squirrels are pushy enough as is. I've had them scratch at my door as though they're demanding to be fed.

One of them bit me once and I got squirrel rabies, but it's okay because I became King of All Squirrels after the rabies kicked in.

To be fair, I don't think most people who get frazzled at the thought of assault weapons are imagining gang members roaming the streets with AR-15s. I think mass murders/school shootings are more what comes to mind.

How much would you be willing to pay to watch two squirrels duel to the death with tiny guns?

Maybe we've been looking at this wrong. Maybe the money to be made is in the promotion, not direct sales. That actually makes more sense, squirrels don't have a lot of discretionary income.

So, how much? $40? $50? More? Would you be interested in securing season tickets to all events at the SquirrelDome:Extremely Awesome Entertainment venue?

Assuming you are able to validate this claim, we should discuss this further. If you would consider a partnership, I believe we could come to a satisfactory financial agreement. I can see you becoming a very important member of Team Squirrel Dome:Awesomely Deadly Entertainment, or whatever it was I called it a few minutes ago.
