You know Bernie Sanders is like the complete opposite of a libertarian... or are you just one of those people that call themselves libertarian but really only want legalized marijuana?

Actually the real and original meaning of libertarian is the opposite of what you and most people have come to know it as (anarcho capitalism).

But anyway, it might also surprise you to know that anti-statism is a major tenant of intellectual socialism.

Chomsky, for example, is a libertarian/anarchist socialist, same as Bernie.

Cruz @ 84%.

I'm voting for Carson though. 74%.

I don't like that because the site hasn't found his stance on a topic it says we don't share the same viewpoint

I would say that most of us aren't communist, but the quiz doesn't give enough options for answers. I'm a Libertarian, but a lot of the questions just didn't give an answer that I agreed with 100%. I certainly lean far to the left when it comes to current politics and social issues but agree that most issues are issues to be decided by the state, but I'm absolutely a fiscal conservative an a non interventionist.

I don't know what Carolina Tide has against Ben Carson but personally I always fear putting someone with no political experience in the president's office. I have the same problem with Trump.

But, like I said, I'm not a Communist. I'm all for following the Constitution. I'm all for staying out of the business of other countries. I'm all for budgeting and tax cuts. It is, unfortunately, not realistic today, though. If straight people can be married, gay people should be as well, etc.

just embrace it commie

We would be much better as a country if we could bring the federal gov back into the correct power. The states should have a good chunk of power when it comes to most things. It wont ever happen though because the fed gov never gives up power and people are too stupid to want 50 different options they would rather one.

Maybe you're too dense to understand that the political spectrum isn't linear, it's a quadrant. Libertarians and those on the far left agree on many issues, often for different reasons. I voted for Ron Paul in 2008, Ron Paul in the 2012 GOP Primary and Gary Johnson in the 202 General Election.

I admired his life story and all that he's accomplished in the Medical field, but some of his recent comments have been stupid.

Saying that the US under Obama is akin to Nazi Germany; comparing Obamacare to "slavery" and saying that it was worse than 9/11 (even though he retracted the last statement) and of course saying that being gay is a choice and "going to prison makes you gay."

quote:

On whether being gay is a choice: "Because a lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight—and when they come out, they're gay. So, did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question."

LINK

Also comparing the IRS to the Gestapo. I could really go on and on.

I've read some of his books and admire what he's done, but I don't think he should run the country. And if the GOP plan to use him in order to gain the black vote, well they're going to be severely disappointed.

I don't disagree that most of the power should lie amongst the the states. It's never going to happen though.

I'm not a "Commie" though.

I'm pro choice, but I know that it should be a state issue.
I'm anti state sanctioned marriage, but pro gay marriage, if government should be involved, but that should be a state issue.
I'm anti Patriot Act
I'm anti anti drug war.
I'm anti NSA.
I'm anti Israel.
I'm anti unlimited social welfare.
I'm anti union in the modern sense.
I'M MISUNDERSTOOD!

Same here. And if by some strange and unfortunate turn of events Trump wins the nomination then the Republicans don't have a snowball's chance in Hell to win the presidency. I'd vote for Santorum over that clown.

once you vote obama you become a commie such is life.

It doesn't actually matter who you or I vote for though. The train is going nonstop down the track. The left push it a little faster, the right pretends to slow it down but they just really blow full steam ahead to taking every last freedom in the country.

I did this on TexAgs a few weeks ago and got Ted Cruz IIRC.

Don't really GAF, though. Will see who gets the major party nominations and go from there like I do every election.

This whole thing is an imperfect science anyways.

Seizing as I'm not allowed to vote my post earlier was just for grins, I still say y'all should all write in me. I could do wonders for this country.
