Oh okay I was gonna say most towns have a local pizza place 10x better than Pizza Hut, even in the south

Yeah of course. The best pizza in Birmingham is a place called Slice.

Papa Murphy's

If I'm going to pay $12 for a pizza, it better already be cooked.

Although I will admit the pizza is pretty good.

Uncle Maddio's is my new favorite. Started in ATL by the guy who started Moe's. It's very similar in setup to Moe's, but with Pizza.

I wouldn't even have Slice in my top 5 in Birmingham, but different strokes.

Does California Pizza Kitchen count as a national chain?

You can buy their frozen pizza in practically every grocery store in the country.

My exp in Bham,

Rocky's is pretty good and about equal to Formaggio's .

not to deerail this thread, but by god, pizza is a pretty important food group. So if I am missing something I need to know.

Davenport's, Rocky's, New York pizza on Oxmoor in Homewood, tortuga's for Chicago style, and Tony ray's

ETA: I know I'm in minority on Slice, and I do like their salads. I just think their pizzas are average and way overpriced.

Digiorno frozen pizza is better than a lot of the fast food national chain crap.
