I said it in the OT thread for this, but I highly encourage you all to check out Bill Maher and Affleck go at it over radical Islam. Maher absolutely crushed him with facts, and Affleck lost his cool on so many levels.

i think this is the best path moving forward.
My grandfather on my dad's side were uber racist. His older brothers are. I stopped going to Thanksgiving after Obama was elected because it was just too much hate and N words flying around. My dad's a little racist, but i've never once heard him use the n word or anything blatantly disparraging. I'm sure i have a little bit of it from my upbringing, but i grew up in an all white farming school. my son's best friend is black.
it's going to pass and we're going to have idiots on both sides till then and probably afterwards too.

So he literally did not get enough education to merit an associates degree. Now i think you can be brilliant without a degree and at the end of the day it's just a piece of paper that says you could stop drinking and whoring long enough to go to classes and pass a few tests. But he has no more weight or intelligence behind an opinion on Foreign Policy than 90% of this board.

He did study Middle Eastern affairs for a year and a half. Likely more time than any of us have had in a classroom setting.
Like I have said before, you can't write off what someone is saying simply because of who they are. Sometimes they make excellent points that are lost because people are not willing to listen to them.
His scores suggest that he is an intelligent person.
His back and forth with Bill Maher was interesting. Affleck was fired up, and let that get the best of him. Sam Harris was on the right track....until he blamed the entire Islam religion. Nicholas Kristof and Michael Steele actually nailed it during that segment. Americans can show outrage about social injustice in America, because that is our law. They cannot do the same in the Middle East because they do not live there, nor do they have any real effect on those countries.
