Mateen was STILL on the watch list as he was gunning down people in the Pulse club

The individual (on the watch list) is allowed to purchase a firearm so long as he is not a felon, adjudicated to be mentally ill, a fugitive from justice, an illegal immigrant, or prohibited from making gun purchases for another statutory reason.

Atheists using the problem of evil to argue against the existence of God. It's a shitty, intellectually lazy argument for a position where so many better arguments exist.

Gun rights supporters just posting "shall not be infringed" as if we haven't always had some form of limitation on the right to arms.

Those who argue for maximum personal liberty but support things like seatbelt laws, open container laws or government surveillence.

No he was not. He was removed in 2014 by the FBI. Go read their reports. He was no longer on any watch list.

I heard it reported multiple times, but yes the news isn't exactly always accurate

But I also posted for you the rules on buying firearms while on the watch list

Yes, you can purchase them while on the watchlist

Agreed the watchlist is not currently tied to the federal BG check for all individuals.

However, you said he was on the watch list and he was not. Read below.

The news media has been wrong about so much of this whole shooting. No wonder people have no clue of whats going on. They assume any news reporter or congressional leaders know what they are talking about and few in fact do. They are all mostly clueless just regurgitating non truths that someone else has said. News reporting is a sham today. No accountability like everything else.
